    I get about $432/mo assuming 9% tax, .00152 MF and 62% residual.

Find out what the net cap cost is - if higher than the selling price, find out what's been added.

They were adding in an "interior and exterior protection package". I cancelled the deal.

    Hi,
Please let me know your opinion on this deal.
    MSRP of $47,190.00(2016 C300 rwd)
for a below TrueCar price of $42,848.00.  With 10 k miles, 36 months and
a $2,000.00 down payment your monthly payment would be $500.00+ tax
in your zip code.  (about $40)

The answer I got back was
"I'm not sure where you got your numbers. The money factor is based on credit so if you are
just getting this number on line it is just a number. With regard to the residual, this is determined
by Mercedes 63% is the number we are using to calculate your pmt. Because we have not actually
done a deal as yet don't be too concerned about numbers. I always find the best deals are achieved
when you are here and ready to lease the car."

Does it sound like they uped the MF? or maybe Net Cap Cost?

    That's funny..

If they can't give you the money factor, then how can they quote a payment? They assumed some sort of money factor, or they couldn't calculate it.

If they don't like your numbers, then ask them for their numbers. Oh, but they don't want to give you those, either.

Hi , so c450 had lower money factor than c300 for March 2016 at 0.00129 Vs 0.00156, both before autopaid 0.001 discount?
coming to end of 27mo./12k Lease from 2014 E350, looking to down size and cost.  Paid now at $574/mo incl service contract and $1k drive off.
    Thanks!

I confirm the MF for March (.00129 for C450, .00152 for C300 RWD), before .00010 autopay discount.

I am also coming from a 27 mos. lease from a 2014 E350 and looking at possibly getting a C450....I was quoted $2000 total drive off @ $650 per month on a C459 with MSRP of $591xx

C450 has lower residual which wash off the low money factor. So I almost ink my deal for $45k C300 36m/12k for $468/mo incl. tax and 2 yrs service contact with $1k drive off until my wife needs Keyless-Go (require P1) which this car has Multimedia & Parking Pkg & PanoRoof. So I'm back to drawing board again...looking at $47k car now and which should add $20/mo extra to it. My stupid math tells me for every $1k MSRP will up your monthly pmt by $10/mo. + tax.

No, you only pay for depreciation which is 38% of $1000 msrp.

Hi, could someond please answer couple questions for me?
Would it be possible to order a car that has Msrp  of 50k on mbusa.com and lease with a sale price of 44k? Would any dealer do it or is it below invoice? I am shooting for 450/m tax included with a 2k down. Just can't find any cars with sport and ash white interior + premium 2 + multimedia(50k).
    Anyone done this? Thank you.
  • dl_amgdl_amg Member Posts: 57
Rissen, Sales price of 44k is doable since my sale price is 10.8% from MSRP but you need to add back the Cap Cost on doc fees which normally between 1500-2000 to your sale price. In order to do $2k down and $450/mo incl SoCal tax, dealer need to knock another ~$5k off from MSRP to achieve your number base on my simple math.

You can always order your car which make no diff. but just need wait time. In stock car always has little advantage as sales like to move the car to meet target. As long as u didn't ink the paper, sales is not completed.

Thanks for you help, looks like I would need more money down or find a really discounted car. I asked 3 dealers around and none wanted to order a car. Everyone wants to sell their stock.

    $2000 doc fee? That's insane.

And, we don't recommend making a down payment .. that money is at risk if the car was stolen or totaled.

I used DL_AMG suggestion that doc fees run from 1500-2000, couple posts up. What should I expect to pay in fees apart from the car price?

It's wife driving...our current E350 lease is pretty ding up already (by other parked cars)...its always nice to feel they are covered.

I'm in the process to finalize my C300 with dealer and ask to throw in Ding & Dent coverage for free since they won't offer any lower in pmt. :) Will prompt back when deal is done.

What is the sales price in that? 40k? I was trying to get that kind of MSRP car to that payment and dealers asking 5k down. It looks like a great deal for you.
  • windmillnlwindmillnl Member Posts: 3
So I asked how much it would be including two year/20k pre-paid maint. and she said payment would be $469 a month, including tax. Adjusted cap cost is $42,051.37.

Still a good deal? Should I definitely have pre-paid maint.?
  • dl_amgdl_amg Member Posts: 57
You need service A and B and pay $6-7/mo extra is  well worth it IMO.  Don't need to shop around for service, any dealer well do ur work.

from 448 to 469, $21/mo for service, that's too much.

Hi guys, never leased before and trying to do my homework on a new C-Class. Just got this offer in LA county, want to know if its a good deal:

    MSRP: $45,720
    Negotiated Price: $39,570
Drive off: $875 (1st mo, DMV)
    36/12 @ $489 incl tax
    36/15 @ $508 incl tax
    MF .00142 on auto pay
Residual was around 28.5K but don't remember the exact number.

    Thanks!

    Assuming 9% sales tax, I get $471/mo for 36/15 and $445/mo for 36/12.

Find out what the net capitalized cost is - if higher than the selling price, get the dealer to explain what was added.

Thank you Michaell. Really appreciate it. Do you mind sharing how you arrived at those numbers? I'm not at all questioning your math, I'm just completely ignorant in how to calculate that myself and want to be able to back up those numbers up when I discuss with the dealer.

    Thanks again!
