Hi. I am new here and contemplating a possible 48 month lease What would the MF and Residuals be for an AWD C300 , 48/15 or 48/12. Thanks so much Michael!

.00154 MF and 49%/51% residual
36 month residuals are 12% higher, and may result in as good or better of a payment.
MSD ( Multiple security deposit) with MB you can use up to 10 (if your payment is 400 you give them a check for 4000 dollars to hold and you get it back at the end of the lease) each one lowers your Money factor by .00007 so if you use all 10 plus auto pay you cut the current money factor (rate) in half from .00154 to .00074. This costs your interest payment by 50-60 dollars a month
Now I see what dealers get such a bad rap. Supposed to pick up the car today and now they want to add $300 to the lease because they had to pay that to get the car transferred to them...

Do you already have a contract in place? If so, the dealer can pound sand on the $300. If not, then you may have to negotiate something if it was a special color combo you requested.

I was told that this cant be done in New York.
That is correct, but you should be able to get the car from a NJ or CT dealer and use MSD.

I get $453/mo.
You need $2700 more to get to $531/mo.
If the acquisition fee, tax and DMV fees add up to $2700, then it looks good.

He's saying 36m/12k is $707 (includes tax), residual is 63% and MF is 0.00160. Does it look accurate?
.00154 and 63%.
Using your supplied MSRP and net price, I get $647/mo with tax included. Bump in MF is adding about $5/mo, so I'm not sure where the $707/mo comes from - there is about $2000 difference total.

First I emailed back and asked where the acquisition fee was since I didn't see any reference to it. He said "the acquisition fee, dealer documentation fee and sales tax are included in the payment". Then I posted my question here. I have a spreadsheet as well that came out close to that so I emailed the guy back asking where the $50/month difference is. If he can't explain it I'll just move on. Sad really because it's pretty much the exact car I want.

There is a difference between "can't" explain and "won't" explain. Figure out which it is.
Getting the adjusted cap cost should tell you where the delta is.
1. First acquistion fee is jacked up to $1,095 2. For some reason my $2k trade in is being applied as $1,293.60, which when I enter into my spreadsheet I get the amount he does.
Not sure why this is. Maybe it's a state thing. I'll give it to him he's been pretty transparent.

The rest of the $2000 is going to cover the first months payment.
Seems weird to me it's included as a cap cost reduction. So I emailed him back also asking where the $1,293.60 is coming from. Thanks for your help and quick responses.

The 1st payment isn't included as a CCR. Because it doesn't reduce the CAP cost.
$2000 due at signing = $1293.60 CCR + $706.40 1st payment. Nothing to check on.. It's all there.

Oooh ok I see thanks. I'd rather use the full $2,000 for reducing cap cost then pay the first payment in addition. Thanks so much!
So I emailed back requesting the full trade in be applied for cap cost reduction, and that either acquisition fee reduced to standard or increase the discount off the MSPR by $300 and he said ok. Going tomorrow for a test drive and possibly sign. Thanks so much.

First I would ask for deeper discount maybe 10%.
Second I wouldon't ask to lower the inception to 795.
Third I would use autopay to lower my MF by .0001
Forth I would use the two thousand as MSD ( each one lowers it by. 00007 you can use up to 10. So essentially you can cut the MF from .00160 to .0008 and lower you payment to low 600 area and you get the cash back at end of lease.

The C450 numbers are .00129 and 58% for 36/12.
Add 1% to the residual to the above for 36/10.

Friend is telling me to change to a 24 mo lease instead of 36.
36 month residual is 63%
Hard to see a scenario where the 24 month lease is a better deal.

Do you have current numbers for a C300 sport, RWD? I am looking at a low-mileage lease, either 5/7.5/10k/year for 36 months. Thank you.
