I think the Graduate program is just a rebate. Doubt it would make a difference with the credit score.

Hello,

I leased a car for the first time today, ended up getting the 2017 Elantra SE with just the basic package. Final price was $19,260. Lease is for 36 months, 10,000 miles per year. There were two rebates applied which were worth $2,000 total. My monthly payment amount is $189. I paid $488 today to drive off with the car which included first month payment and MV fees. There was no other down payment. When I asked the salesperson what the residual value was for the car he said around $10,000. So if do $19,260 - $10,000 - $2,000 ~= $7,000. Then $7,000 / 36 months ~= $194. So this was a fair deal, right? Since this was my first car lease experience I just want to make sure I wasn't taken advantage of, and if so go back to the same dealer for my next car!

Tocilin, could you answer a few questions to clarify your deal? What was the MSRP including destination. What was the bottom line window sticker price including any dealer added equipment or services, and what were those dealer adds? What was the total you paid before you drove the car away from the dealer? How many and what amount are monthly payments owed after that initial drive-off payment?

The MSRP was $19,240
The drive-off was $17,871
Monthly payment is $175.49

I asked at a few places and one of them told me the 36/10K would be 56% which sounds pretty bad now and .00049 MF
The best deal I've seen is at about $224 a month with about $600 drive. MSRP $26,500, sale price $22,800... After rebates it shows $19,800 (plus taxes, fees, etc). ZIP 32244.
