Pardon my ignorance but isn't the adjusted cap cost just the $24,742 I listed since that figure has the $935 lease cash and $250 bonus applied? So cap cost is $25,927 then right? New York tax in my county is 8.0%
Ok just got back from a dealer and these are the numbers I was offered for a 2016.5 Cx-5 sport awd white in New York (zip code 14610)
msrp:$24,895 total msrp: $25,995 sale price with $935 lease cash + some type of $250 bonus cash: $24,742 mf: 0.00001 residual: 58%
they also said they would cut a check for $580 to cover the $400 dispo few and my last monthly lease payment for my Kia Forte, which expires 5/3.
i was given the following monthly payments (do these make sense given the above numbers?): $313/month 36 month/12k (zero down, all taxes and fees included) $303/month 36 month/10k, residual 59%
does this seem like a fair price? The monthly payment seems a bit high to me and it looks like he barely came down from sticker price before incentives You don't advise putting money down correct? The tmv tool estimates average of $25,139 before incentives and base tmv of $24,140 for my area for a vehicle with the same base msrp.
thanks for the help!
We would need to know the adjusted cap cost, if the taxes and fees are being rolled in.
With your prices, as is, I get $269/mo.
Yes, you should be getting some sort of discount from sticker, before applying the incentives, especially since the 2017's are hitting the lots.
This is the other quote I received from another dealer so far for a 2016.5 sport awd. Seems not so great. MSRP $26,285 Sale price with $934 dealer incentive $24,987 3 yrs/36k $318/month, residual 58%, mf o.ooo1, zero down on both
3 yrs/30k $311/month, residual 59%
Plus $580 check to cover dispo and last payment for my leased vehicle
Sales person says adjusted cap cost is zero, since $1172 for taxes, fees, lease cash are rolled into the monthly payment.

If I add the $1172 to the $24,987 selling price, then I get a payment of $304/mo for 36/12, or $296/mo for 36/10.
Ask the dealer what cap cost they are using to get the $318 or $311 payments (about $500 difference)
Looking into the Mazda CX-5 sport 2016.5 model and 2017 model. I'm in Florida. 36 months. 15k/year. Which year is better to lease right now? What is the money factor and residual %? Also, any incentives right now? This will be our 4th mazda lease, any loyalty? thanks!!!

Assuming FWD automatic:
2016.5: .00001 MF and 55% residual. $935 lease cash
Personally, I was looking at a 2016.5 Grand Touring AWD, but am now considering the 2017 Touring AWD w/ I-Active. Guy is getting me numbers, but with the various upgrades in the 2017's especially for noise, seat comfort, ride, & tech...I am told similar price...it would come out as a wash for me. Will test drive the '17 this week.

Cx-5 Sport Manual MSRP $22,695 Sale Price $20,750 Residual 56% $12,709 (36/10 lease) MF 0.00001
after the lease cash, title, lease fee, etc. and title and tax for upfront items for SoCal the net cap was $20,728
we ended up with $242.61 monthly including 8.75% tax ($223.09 pretax) and $350 drive off. The payment will go up when our tax goes to 9.5% (thanks to 60% of the voters).
I tried to get them down to $20,700 and they were actually willing to lose the sale (we had been working on this for over a week), so I think I got the best deal. And since this dealer was the only one in SoCal with the manual (they had seven in your choice of any color as long as its silver) there wasn't much wiggle room.

Quite a solid deal.
Congrats, and thanks for sharing your deal details with us.
Congrats, and thanks for sharing your deal details with us.
They of course said they were "losing money" but who really knows. With holdback, carryover, volume bonus (#1 in the country), I doubt it. But my argument was that they had over 200 2016.5s of all kinds on the lot, and many 2017s there and coming. By summer they will still have some 2016.5s left, probably a manual or two, and will have to sell them somehow, so why not just bring a sale forward into April, save the carrying costs, and call it a day. They countered that they sell 200 CX-5s a month (!) but I said they wouldn't sell 200 2016.5s a month, not without huge discounts...

Trust me, they made money on your deal. Somewhere.
Yep. I know. That's why it annoys me when they try to tell me they lost money. But even if they didn't, when the alternative is losing MORE money in 3 months, its a net gain. -$100 today is $500 more valuable than -$600 in July.

I'm looking for the numbers for 2016.5 Touring for 24/10 & 36/10, both AWD & in NJ, and a the same numbers on Grand Touring w/ tech package. It looks like a dealer by me still has some left so I'm thinking maybe I can get a good deal.

Is that lease cash stackable? I see they have a current lessee offer also for $750.. I currently lease my Mazda 6, so just curious if this can be added or if it's one or the other.

Stackable with what?
It should stack with any available loyalty incentive.

Yes I see Mazda Capital is offering $750 for anyone currently leasing a Mazda so I wasn't sure if the lease cash could be paired with that or not.
Thanks...i'm still kind of a newbie with leasing and working deals. The lease cash...is that the same as a rebate or is that extra off what they would mark the sale price down to?

The lease cash is a factory to dealer incentive - the dealer can choose to pass it along to the customer.
Negotiate your best price, then subtract the lease cash from it.
Hello and thank you for your help on these forums. May I please have the May MF, RV and incentive numbers for AWD Touring and GT trims 36/12k in Washington State?

The only 2016.5 CX-5 numbers we have are for Southern California and Colorado.

Do you anticipate that you will receive numbers for other regions at a later date, or is it likely that you won't see new numbers again for the 2016.5? For reference, could you provide the Southern California numbers? Thanks again.

Dealer was promoting a $500 cash Auto show deal that expired Monday.
Had a deal for $4,200 down $186 a month.
We did not finish deal in time, now dealer said they are no longer leasing 2016.5 models. Is this true?
