I don't think $1000 will cover the acquisition and DMV fees. That should be closer to $1400.
So, assuming $400 added on to the CAP cost, I get $436/mo.+tax. That's about $476/mo.

With 51% residual, it looks like you purchased AudiCare. Ask for the actual adjusted CAP cost, and see how that differs from your sale price. That should clear up the other $1000 or so...

13% off sticker is a strong discount for Audi. Unless you can get the selling price lower, I don't see any other way to improve on the deal.

I get $575/mo with tax, using those prices.

Find out what the up front money covers - may not be down payment at all.

Also, ask the dealer what the adjusted cap cost is - if higher than the selling price, find out what's been added.

No way to avoid the insurance issues, on a lease. The GAP protection covers the difference between the balance due and the value of the car.

Here is the splitup. Are the numbers correct? can 645$ monthly be better.

If the adjusted CAP is $48022, then the monthly payment number is right.

The numbers to the right don't add up to $2505, though.. Maybe sales tax on the upfront amounts makes up the difference?

But, even if that's correct, I can't get the sale price + items on right + 1st payment minus 1st payment rebate minus $1250 down payment to add up to $48022.
With a $1250 downpayment, it should be around $46,560.

That would make the payment about $43/mo. less.

I asked my dealer about exact split-up. How they are doing is
I am paying 1250 down payment.

He calculated drive off as
440 (registration fees)
+ 80 (doc fee)
+ 58 (he said this is taxes on registration and first month)
+ 645 (first month payment)
= 1223 (total drive off)

Customer left over cash = 1250-1223 = 27

They are showing it as like this

45292 (sale price)
+2505 (Audi care, wear and tear )
+ 895 (acquisition fees)
- 645 (Audi's first month rebate)
- 27 (leftover customer cash)
= 48020 resulting in --> 645 monthly @0.00041 MF @55% Residual price

I asked him to include my down payment directly in the adjusted cap instead of drive off. also I was questioning Why I am paying 645 in first month payment in the drive off's since Audi pays for first month.
He said Audi's first month pay is only for Rebate adjustment.

Is he correct? I feel something is fishy in the way they calculate. If its not correct way to calculate, can I get some proof/argument to show him how others are calculating.

@thar_bun Well.. there you go. The $2505 isn't the numbers added up, it's $869 for AudiCare and a conveniently blank space for Wear and Tear insurance. $1636 for Wear and Tear.... shewwwwwww.. I'd lose that. That explains the discrepancy in the CAP cost.

It seems convoluted and hard to follow, but charging for the first payment, then subtracting the rebate is the correct way to do it (because that rebate is taxable).

Other than that, numbers look okay. Dropping wear and tear would knock about $39/mo. off the payment.

Looking at an A4 Premier Package MSRP $49400 discount was $45900. With a RV of 54% and an MF of .00112 I am getting $652 with $2k down. Seems like an OK deal but I think it can be a lot better. According to Edmunds the price is in their range. Are those the true MF and RV factors? Shouldn't I be under $600 or so ? I'm in Vegas.

I'm going to assume you are in a state that collects tax upfront?

I get $513/mo, assuming sale price is the adjusted CAP cost.
That would leave the $3634 to cover tax, acquisition fee, DMV/dealer fees and first payment.

The only way to know if that's correct is to get the adjusted CAP cost, and a breakdown of the $3634 due at signing. ($895 acquisition fee).

Hold up.

The .00037 MF is for the Ultra, which has the detuned (less HP) engine.

The .00022 is for the regular FWD, with the full power 2.0T engine.

Thanks for clarifying that. Audi's site was not clear what the ultra was in comparison to the premium plus. Seems like I would want to stay away from the ultra.

What is the adjusted cap cost?

Texas assesses sales tax against the entire selling price, which increases your lease payment.

So, my wife and I have been looking at used 2017 A4 premium plus's with Tech packages, and while looking for some honest info on what people might be paying I found this thread. After looking at the trends I am wondering what the MF and Residual would be for a new 2017 Quattro A4 premium plus with Tech package in Oregon. Also, I am wondering what your thoughts are on where prices and MF is going as we get closer to the release of the 2018 models? I realize the numbers for the next few months have not been released, but I am just wondering if I should go with a lease of a new 2017 instead of buying used, and what my strategy should be approaching the release of the new models?....should I start pressing for a good number now, or would it be wise to wait a few months?

Where are you finding used 2017 A4s? If they are demos or service loaners, they should be eligible for the new car lease program.

Not sure if what I have been seeing are service loaners or early lease returns or what. There are several around the Portland area. Should I be asking about leasing one of those or pursuing a new 2017?....and the terms I am looking for are 36/15 with perhaps Audi care.

With those numbers, I get $607/mo., so $595 looks pretty good.
Looks like a good sale price, even considering the $1000 incentive.
