Those are the 17 numbers aren't they? The 16 numbers were much worse in August. I don't think there are 17s at dealers just yet.

There is no 2017 Q50 in the information we have for September.

I've quoted the new 2016 numbers. Guess Infiniti wants to pump up the sales volume.

    Hi Michaell,
For Red Sport RWD, did MF quadruple since Aug? To sebas55 from a few posts ago, you said MF was 0.00004. To me for Sept you said MF 0.00017. Why do you think such a big jump?

    thanks!

Quadruple is relative. .00017 is still equivalent to just 0.40% APR.. or, almost nothing.

If will take some time to read this forum or any leasing forum you will find that no one can tell whether a lease is a good deal without knowing the price of the car that the dealer is selling you. If you only negotiate the price of a lease payment you open yourself to getting into a bad deal.

    You need:

    Publicly Available Items
    MSRP
    Invoice Price
    Current Manufacturer Residual
    Current Manufacturer Lease Factor
Current Incentives for which you are eligible.

    Items particular to your deal
    Selling price
Lease factor dealer is quoting you (dealers can mark this up)
    Dealer doc fees
Local sales tax, and whether you pay up front or every month.
Out of pocket money up front.

    1. What trim level is this?
    2. Lease term and miles per year?
    3. Negotiated selling price?
    4. State and tax rate?

    2. Lease term and miles per year? 39 months with 10k per year
    3. Negotiated selling price? 43,595. Originally sticker price was 47,140
    4. State and tax rate? 6 percent, I'm in Florida

AWD in Florida? With an MF of .00004, it's certainly RWD.
.00004 MF and 52% residual are correct for 39/10.

    Adding in the $700 acq.fee, I get $337/mo.+tax.

That's about $30/mo. less than your quote. Ask for the adjusted CAP cost. You'll have title/registration fees and probably a big dealer doc fee hiding in there, somewhere.

    Acquisition fee is 700

    total cap reduction negative 1605
    capital cost- 36,888
    total selling price - 33, 825

With that CAP cost, $367/mo.+tax is correct.

Any idea what is included in the $758 of inception fees?

Either way, that's a pretty good payment for a $43K MSRP vehicle.

not sure on cap cost. 9.25% tax Los Angeles county.

which one do you think is a better value? $250 including tax for 41k or $290 for $43k? Can 2k sticker really add $40 to the price?

If will take some time to read this forum or any leasing forum you will find that no one can tell whether a lease is a good deal without knowing the price of the car that the dealer is selling you. If you only negotiate the price of a lease payment you open yourself to getting into a bad deal.

    You need:

    Publicly Available Items
    MSRP
    Invoice Price
    Current Manufacturer Residual
    Current Manufacturer Lease Factor
Current Incentives for which you are eligible.

    Items particular to your deal
    Selling price
Lease factor dealer is quoting you (dealers can mark this up)
    Dealer doc fees
Local sales tax, and whether you pay up front or every month.
Out of pocket money up front.
I actually disagree with this. If you know the MSRP and the total money spent for the life of the lease(including money down) then you can determine if it is a good deal compared to other leases with the same number of months, similar MSRP, and same mileage.

The total money spent including money out of pocket compared to the MSRP is the best way to determine how good a lease is. If you divide the total money spent by the MSRP you will get a percent of MSRP that the lease costs you.

For 36 Month leases this value is usually between 40% and 45% with 40%-42% being typically a good lease. Last month the OC Infiniti was advertising a lease that had a total cost to MSRP percentage in the low 30s for the Red Sport 400. That was simply an unbeatable deal.

Now their advertised lease is back up to 39% of MSRP which is still great but not anywhere near what it was last month.

You still might be able to get it into the mid or low 30s with some hard ball negotiations but last month you could just show them the advertisement and they would have to honor it.

When you do the total lease cost vs. MSRP make sure you include any and all money including the value of your trade.

Also most people don’t realize how important negotiating the price of the car is. A $50,000 car with no money off the price can actually end up costing more than a $56,000 car with a $50,000 selling price. Right now some dealerships are offering up to $6250 off on the price for a Red Sport 400 Lease. Now you still have to make sure they aren’t marking up the interest rate or other factors. However, doing the lease total cost to MSRP calculation can give you a good idea of how good that lease is compared to others.

.00003 and 52%. Same terms for 39/10 as well, which would result in a lower payment.

Almost looks too good to be true; the $1600 in rolled over lease payments is adding $44/mo to the payment.

Confirm the adjusted cap cost with the dealer.

MF and residual are correct. Can't check the calculations without CAP cost, but that looks cheap.

This is the invoice the dealer just sent me

    MSRP 43095
    Cap cost 35380.74
    Residual 22409.40
    Money factor .00004

That's 355 a month with 355 down, does this seem right?

The math is correct. If the cap cost includes the rolled over lease payments, that's a phenomenal deal.
