A California dealer is quoting me a MF of .0028, from Mercedes Benz Financial. Does this ring true, or are they just 'padding' their profit?
Also, when I use the online Edmunds lease calculator, the same input that gives me a lease payment of about $1300 gets me a quote of $1600 (both including taxes) from the dealer, so what gives? How is that possible?

Yes, dealer is marking up the MF for more profit.

On-line calculators often make assumptions we know nothing about; better to build your own:

One more question about residual.By looking at previous posts, I find residual used to be 60%. Why now it is only 58%? Is it possible to get 60% at dealer now?

Residual is fixed by the bank and cannot be altered or negotiated.

New numbers were released on 12/1; previous months may have had a higher residual.

.00089 MF and 59%/58% residual for 7.5/10K/yr

Mercedes does have an MSD program, but it doesn't always seem to be compatible with subvented money factors. Last we saw, 10 MSDs at .00005 each for a total reduction of .00050.

I have asked for a breakout of any fees rolled into the lease. According to them, the only amount due at signing is the one pay amount of $40,805.70. I am still waiting for a breakout. I had assumed that doing a one pay lease would be a substantial interest savings. Based on their numbers and reviewing others pricing on this board, it seems there is no advantage to doing a one pay. Should that be the case? Thanks.

In general, there should be a discount in the MF for a one-pay lease. But, we don't have the specifics of the MB program.

Considering they are only knocking off 2% of the MSRP, that's not cool.

Spoke to finance manager at dealership today. He said the regular money factor for the 450 is .00210. He said the .00076 rate is only for a one pay. Could the rates be different in South Florida?
