We suggest you limit the up front cash to just the first payment and DMV costs - add all the other fees into the adjusted cap cost.

Ask for a breakdown of the "fees and insurance" amount - it's possible the acquisition fee is buried in there.

Looks like a selling price of about $46,100 with a marked up acquisition fee to $1095.

Even at that number, I only get to $579/mo.+tax. So, probably a money factor markup, as well (not to mention the $799 dealer fee).

I'd want about $550/mo.+tax, with the $1800 upfront, if it were me.

sales tax 1255.27. The 499 per month includes sales tax. All figures off lease worksheet printed out from screen.

Hey @Den110, which dealership are you leasing from? I'm moving to Philadelphia and was possibly looking to lease from NJ in Cherry Hill. Your figure seems average for the area, but if you haven't signed the deal yet I would push hard for 8k below MSRP as that seems to be the lowest going rate.

Ray Catena in Edison NJ. Dealer stayed firm with those numbers. Couldn't go lower. Picked car up last night. Very nice! With one going to college in fall, and another driving next year, had to go to C Class from driving the E Class (4 different ones in the last 10 years). Looked into the BMW 3 series, just not impressed with the interior cabin and technology as compared with the MB.

Hi, I was looking to get a second set of eyes on my lease information. It is for a 2017 AWD C300 with Premium 3 package (and some other options). This is in the Chicago suburbs area, I will be taxed at the rate for DuPage county.

MSRP: $51,725
Negotiated Selling Cost (after fleet incentives): $43,000
Term: 36 Months, 12k miles
MF: .00108 (before paying MSD x 10 and autopay)
Residual: 60% of MSRP

After MSD and autopay, I estimate my monthly payments to be about $387 if I pay the fees (not taxes) upfront. Is that correct? I think sales tax rate in the county is 7.25% or so.

I agree.... i think the dealer is trying to get a feel. I am aiming for .00121 as i have a a very good credit rating , fortunately. What should be my payment. 

If I take the $2500 off the MSRP, then I get a payment of $589/mo plus tax.

What is being added to the selling price to take the cap cost back up close to the MSRP?

I do not see taxes or the acquisition fee anywhere on that worksheet. 

I see it says Total Taxes under section 19, or is that something different? I was under the impression that the $512 payment included those taxes. 

I can inquire about the acquisition fee. What amount should I be looking for there?

@jpas2218 The acquisition fee is likely embedded in the "total adds cap" figure (line 17). It's $795, but the dealer can mark it up to $1095 for extra profit.
As you noted, the taxes are listed on line 19.

The calculations are correct, as they pretty much have to be, when entered into the computer. That's a pretty good payment with just $1000 due at signing, especially considering TX sales tax.

I get $700/mo with tax, using those prices.

Confirm the adjusted cap cost - if you are rolling everything into the payment, then the cap cost should be higher that the selling price.
