Got the following quote for an AWD w/ Tech MSRP 51,300 SALES PRICE 44,838
36mo/12k 56% residual money factor 0.0005
Due at signing $1100 Monthly $557.80 including tax Tax rate 9%
Do those numbers look right?
55% residual for 36/12. 56% residual for 36/10
Make sure you are getting the mileage allowance that you want. Ask for the adjusted CAP cost. It should be more than the sale price. Get an itemization.
You mean it should NOT be more than the sale price, correct?

No.. it will definitely be more. Your $1100 is not enough to cover the first payment, $595 acq.fee, title/registration, etc, etc. Anything not paid upfront has to be added to the CAP cost.

Maybe I misinterpreted....I thought the MSRP of $51,300 that chunknorris provided included the acquisition/destination fee. I'm in PA and have been quoted on the AWD w/Tech an MSRP of $51,435, inclusive of a $975 destination fee. Are acquisition fees different than destination fees?
Also - separate question. Does Acura entertain MSD's? Can't imagine they do with such a low MF, but curious nonetheless. Thanks!
Got the following quote for 2017 MDX base with AWD. 36/7500 MSRP 47025, sale price 41894.94 Govt fees 440.50??? (dealer said it's for registration, etc. I questioned him on it.) Taxes 1120.47 Doc fee 299.00 Total initial payment 2868.28 Residual 27744.75 Monthly payment 428.31
Told him these numbers seemed high. Dealer says he can go down to 418 but I said initial and monthly were still high.
Another location offered $400/month, $2769 initial which includes taxes. Obviously this is better than first offer.
What should I be concerned with about second offer? Also, the first dealer told me with TECH option is about $80 more per month. Is this accurate, roughly?
The first dealer also discouraged me from leasing the 2018 MDX by saying the same car would be $150 more per month. I found it odd and figured he wants to get rid of his 2017s. Is the cost difference that big?

We suggest you get offers from both dealer with only $1000 out of pocket, so you can compare apples to apples.
There is a 2% difference in the residual value between the base trim and the tech trim. Given the difference in sticker prices between the two, I suppose the payment difference could be as high as $80/mo
Your dealer is correct on the 2018's - the payment will be much higher, for now. Better to lease a 2017 for the best deal.
Hello all good morning. Is there anyone who can help me evaluate this quote? Supposedly, this is for the tech with entertainment package. I am in NY. Do the residuals and monthly make sense? I need big help. Thanks all!
Also, what other important questions should I ask the dealership regarding this quote. If there is anything else missing?
Anyone else here shopping in South Florida for an MDX ?
I am.
Wife just informed me that her lease was ending in 2 weeks, so just starting looking at this and the Infiniti QX 60. I know they are really different SUV's and drive completely different but it's just going to come down to where I can get the better deal on comparable cars.
Please pm me which dealers you decide with to go to for a deal on the MDX. Prices are not that good compared to West coast members I see here.

What is the adjusted cap cost?
How many miles per year?
We recommend you roll the taxes and fees into your lease payment - if the car is stolen or totaled, you won't get that money back if you pay it up front.

Got it. I also received a quote for 36/12k. The residuals seem on point to me i divided the "purchase option" by the "msrp" of the car he said the sell price is 47,693.76 what do you think Michael? Thanks so much
He gave me this number after i asked him why is the sell price and cap cost the same amount. 21,627.91. Still waiting for the answer for the cap cost with registration and first month.
Yeah, the text messaging approach doesn't seem to be working. Might be best to pick up the phone and call him directly so he understands what you are looking for.
I have no idea what the $21K number is supposed to represent.
Ok. No dealer withing 200 miles has the Black Copper Pearl with Espresso in Tech or Adv anymore. My local dealer has the last one and it is a Hybrid Adv MSRP @ $58k. Can you please provide the numbers for 10k, 12k miles and 36 month lease. Also, anyone else seen any examples of what deals that people have actually driven off for otd for the Hybrids? I do not think, it is worth more than $600 out the door tax included.

At that payment you can start looking at the volvo and audi, that seems like a lot of money for an acura IMO.
If you really need that color combo, look at dealers beyond 200 miles and then just transport it down. I'd say you can have AAA tow it if you're a member but you need to be there in person for them to tow a car.
Just a thought, I see many Acura dealerships in my area (Long island, NY) with a high amount of inventory of MDXs in 2017 model. Would that be a reason why the dealerships have not been selling the 2018 models? Or they traditionally sell the upcoming new model year lets say after january hits???

Depending on how far it is, shipping doesn't cost a lot.
I have a friend who shipped a new car from KY to CO - about $1000, I believe. Is it worth the cost to get the color combination you want?

The deals are set up to move the 2017 inventory while it's still on the lots.
When the '17's are gone, I suspect the deals on the 18's will get better.

The only issue with the Audi and Volvo is that one, i am not a fan of turbo 4 cylinder engines on this size suv's,. Second, the standard features are no where compared to what the Japanese offer.

They add the $595 acquisition fee into the Capitalized cost, because it's taxable. Then, they show you paying it as a CAP cost reduction.

Pedro, MSRP MDX Base AWD is $47,025, w/ BackUp Sensors ($568) that's $47,600. Your sales price above is $42,801. Not a good deal on the price. If you are in a major metropolitan region, you should be getting that for $40k. Did you shop around?

There is a 2% difference in the residual value between the base trim and the tech trim. Given the difference in sticker prices between the two, I suppose the payment difference could be as high as $80/mo
Your dealer is correct on the 2018's - the payment will be much higher, for now. Better to lease a 2017 for the best deal.

These numbers ok?
Thanks.
If you really need that color combo, look at dealers beyond 200 miles and then just transport it down. I'd say you can have AAA tow it if you're a member but you need to be there in person for them to tow a car.
What is the adjusted cap cost?
What state?

Depending on how far it is, shipping doesn't cost a lot.
I have a friend who shipped a new car from KY to CO - about $1000, I believe. Is it worth the cost to get the color combination you want?

When the '17's are gone, I suspect the deals on the 18's will get better.

Note: the total due had a tiny bit of cap reduction ($32) to make it an even number...I could have opted out, but just said keep it in.

Here is the quote I just received (in Northern CA).
It seems competitive to me.
Anything to be concerned about?
Thanks for any input.
