If the dealers doesn't want to be transparent with the numbers, it's time to move on.
But, as you've noted, inventory of 2017 MDX is getting low, which means the advantage swings back to the dealer.
yeah that is true. that is the last blk on blk available i believe. Putting my own numbers, I am trying to get it for 600 otd. I do not want to go a dime over. Problem is if I wait 3 more months with current car to avoid the 1500 negative of 3 payments, i doubt the MF goes this low for the 2018's till next year. Basically when lease ends in May, I will have to get an 18 at a higher MF possibly for a higher price. Correct ?

Yes, that is correct. And, a bit of a problem.
My guess - and, it's only a guess - is that when the '17's are all gone, there may be a reduction in the MF on the 2018's. But, the residual may drop, as well, and there is nobody who knows what the incentives will look like.
If you were to be more flexible on the color, would you have more inventory to choose from?

Possibly. No point in making a bad deal, though... otherwise, why jump now for the 2017.

I wouldn't jump on this MDX unless it was an unbeatable deal. You've still got 6 months with your TLX. I'd wait until the last week of December. You'll make 2 more payments on your TLX. Get yourself a phenomenal deal on a 2018 in the color combination/trim that YOUR want. The 2018 MDX is in its 4th Model Year of production. In December, 2018 residuals will be high. There won't be a $3250 lease incentive but the money factor will still be on the low side. The pull ahead will still be there.
Good Luck!

Spoke to dealer again. Wont come below $650 tax included. States adj cap is $49k which includes the 1572 negative but additional $1925 of inceptions which is rolled is seperate.

Thanks. I checked last 2 years on this forum and others for 2017 and 2016 models, and payments on the ADV were in the mid 600's to 700's and very rare. You are right about taking a chance. I have found 2 other dealers about a 100 miles away from me. Lets see if they are willing to make a deal. Otherwise, I will go the route you mentioned thanks

You live in Florida. Price you pay for sunshine:) (Just Kidding) Florida dealers usually tack on this "doc fee" or "processing fee" of anywhere between $599 & $999. GA Dealers do it too. I live in CT where these doc fees (called conveyance fee) can range anywhere from $199 - $599. Neighboring NY State has doc fees capped at $75. I usually find out what a dealer charges and adjust my offer accordingly. All I care about is the bottom line. Back in September 2014 I was shopping for a 2015 Subaru Legacy. The dealer closest to my house in CT had a cheaper selling price, but a $399 "conveyance fee." The next closest dealer in NY (15 minutes away) had a higher selling price, but with a $75 doc fee. The NY dealer's bottom line price came out to exactly $100 cheaper, so I bought in NY.
They don't have to charge the doc fees, but if they CHOOSE to, they MUST charge the same doc fee to EVERYBODY.

@mzia - you're welcome. Basically just see who has the best "all in" price. If they want to mark up the money factor, but make the capitalized cost of the lease less, I don't care. As long as apples to apples comes out to be the same, it doesn't make a difference. I'd be very wary about dealing with this dealer that's not being transparent with you.

They are not marking up the MF. Acura and Honda i have dealt with for a while and I have never had issues. However, the sales price is which these guys dont want to come down on.
So i reached out to dealers which are outside my locality which had adv trim blk n blk available. 1st one came back 679 taz included. Second one offered me 609 tax included. Also, he says if i make one car payment on we get 589 tax included. Its crazy how the pricing varies across dealers in the same area !

LOL YES ! hahahah I have driven about 30 states in the last 15 years. On my current TLX, I have driven to Qubec city Canada from South Florida and back in 2 weeks...
Does this make sense? I agree to cap cost of $42,801 and i would pay tax, bank, document, DMV fees upfront. not sure where $43,3396.85 is coming from? please advise
Just curious...where would the Money factor be located in the contracts? How would I know that the money factor i am getting is right? What would be a proof i would ask for?

MF is rarely listed on the contract - that way, the dealer can mark it up.
You'll have to run the numbers yourself; if your payment is different from the dealer, you can ask them what MF and adjusted cap cost they used. If they don't want to be transparent, that tells you all you need to know about the dealer.
There is usually an item called "rent charge" that represents the interest you are paying on the lease.
Is there a purchase incentive in addition to the lease incentive in the Boston area? Dealer trying to act as if their advertised October pricing already included all incentives, which wouldn't make sense if the only incentives are for leasing.

Only $2000 purchase incentive, this month.
Yeah, most dealer quotes will include the incentives. Use the knowledge of the incentives to get your best price.

So here is an update: my AFS account with current lease doesn't qualify for the pull ahead program till Nov 13th since that will be the date within 180 days of lease maturity. I called AFS and they confirmed and stated that I should call back on that day to as they will automatically get that info on that day. As my search was so difficult for the Blk on Blk Adv, i have put a 500 deposit to reserve the vehicle which will be refunded once i sign the lease or can also be applied towards one monthly payment if my tlx. My quote is 589 inc taxes if i roll over 2 payments for a 12/36 lease. If I make 2 more payments of 524 each, my payment will be 549 tax included. I currenty have 31500 miles on my tlx with 39k allowance. I had asked dealer about rolling iver remaining miles and he said as long as 5 payments or less remainung, miles can be rolled over to new lease. I am planning to ask dealer to switch from 12k to 10k miles per year which will reduce payments to 539 tax included and the remainder of the 7500 miles off of tlx can be rolled over to the new lease which will put total allowance to 37500 miles for 3 yrs for $539 per month. 2 questions, 1) Any advice on this deal till now? 2) should i rollover 2 payments and pay 579 or make the 2 payments and pay 539. 3) Chances of better November numbers or maybe increase in the lease incentive from 3250? Thanks all.

No insight what the numbers will look like, next month.
@mzia - Just be careful. You've got a lot of moving parts here. You're almost loaded with too much information. Next month's numbers will be based on inventory levels and projected residuals. If there are still 10,000 2017 MDXs in inventory nationwide and they wanted to sell 20,000 last month (just picking numbers out of they sky), they might increase the lease cash. Opposite and they might not have as much lease cash. Just wait until 11/13 and you'll make your decision after Thanksgiving Dinner and make a Black Friday deal.

2017 Acura MDX Base Lease in Southern California Deal Details:
I just got his deal in October:
MSRP $45,025 /RV: $26,564 36 months, 7500 miles per year. Monthly payment $372+local sales tax for 35 months. Sales Price (Cap Cost) $38,781 Rent Charge: $1175 Dealer paid drive offs=> $0 Due at signing Total Cost: 35 payment x $372 =$13,020 total paid after 36 months....
Meaning the actual monthly is lower=$361/month+tax ($13,020/36) The national Acura advertised MDX lease for same terms (36/7500miles) is $409+tax with $1999 Due at signing, or $409x35+$1999=$16,315. So, for the total lease cost, I beat the 'teaser' ad by over $3,000
Note that this price is for a low mileage lease in the competitive LA car market. Acura has a great lease program. Always err on the side of lower miles as they only charge you 10 cents a mile (50% of excess miles forgiven) of up to (I think) 5000 miles. If you do go under your prepaid miles, however they carry over your unused miles to your next Acura lease.

Good Luck!
Thanks. I checked last 2 years on this forum and others for 2017 and 2016 models, and payments on the ADV were in the mid 600's to 700's and very rare. You are right about taking a chance. I have found 2 other dealers about a 100 miles away from me. Lets see if they are willing to make a deal. Otherwise, I will go the route you mentioned
btw, are you also on leasehackr ?

Just got my 2017 Mdx FWD with tech today.
The lease term is 7500 miles/year for 3 years.
0 drive off and 480/month including tax.
I've attached the final document.
Since the dealer doesn't mention anything like money factor.
I know it's a done deal. Just want to know how is the deal?

2 questions, 1) Any advice on this deal till now? 2) should i rollover 2 payments and pay 579 or make the 2 payments and pay 539. 3) Chances of better November numbers or maybe increase in the lease incentive from 3250?
Thanks all.

Dealer paid drive offs=> $0 Due at signing
Total Cost: 35 payment x $372 =$13,020 total paid after 36 months....
Meaning the actual monthly is lower=$361/month+tax ($13,020/36)
The national Acura advertised MDX lease for same terms (36/7500miles) is $409+tax with $1999 Due at signing, or $409x35+$1999=$16,315.
