Guys, I'm at the end of my 2015 MDX lease and looking to lease. I got this quote on a 2017 as a best deal, although it looks like some of the numbers are off, the price seems a bit high. Are they trying to pull one over or is this a decent deal? Looks like they are charging MF unless 740 Fico is a tier 2 now.

This is in Arizona. They always apply really expensive tint on windows because of our sun issues. The quote was from the end of October and the Money factor listed is .00050, so are they up-charging here?

The numbers changed in November, so you should get an updated quote from the dealer.

Just to share to all the lease agreement hopefully it helps everyone. This is for Tech with Entertainment. Kydx and Michaell is there anything fishy with the calculations in the lease agreement? I know it's all done but just for future knowledge. Thanks again guys!

No, it's an estimated total of all the fees and taxes you might pay over the life of the lease.

I had a question regarding DMV fees. I'm in the process of leasing a vehicle and the dealership I'm dealing with is charging me $499 for DMV fees. They claims it's a flat fee and if the actual cost is lower then I will receive a refund. Is this true? Will I receive a refund for the over payment? I find it hard to believe a dealership would not know the exact amount for registering a vehicle. I feel like the dealership is trying to pocket some extra cash. This dealership is in NY but I'm registering in NJ. Any help is appreciated.

That looks like a doc fee, but those are capped, by law, at $75 in NY. Give another dealer a call and find out if you get a consistent story.

If the dealership is in NY, they may not know the exact fees.
However, $499 isn't far off for NJ. On a lease, I'm pretty sure they collect the fees for all three years, upfront.
If it's over, it's probably less than $100.

Thank you both for the responses. Kyfdx I believe you are correct that they are providing an estimate and the registration would be for the term of the lease (3 yrs). Registration should be about $252 (84/yr) and title is about $85. That's about $335 in total so I would say they are about $150 off. I guess I will have to wait and see if I really get a refund of the difference.

Michaell, the doc fee was listed separate from the fee quoted for DMV. Local dealerships are around me charge $300 - $400 for DMV. So when I was quoted $499, it seem way off.

What is the MSRP?

I thought MI taxes the monthly payment. So, you can ignore the tax amount and instead ask the dealer for the adjusted cap cost.

We went to McGrath Acura Westmont. If you live and register your car in the city, you will have higher Chicago and Cook County taxes, but you are probably aware of that.
