The national Acura advertised MDX lease for same terms (36/7500miles) is $409+tax with $1999 Due at signing, or $409x35+$1999=$16,315. So, for the total lease cost, I beat the 'teaser' ad by over $3,000

Note that this price is for a low mileage lease in the competitive LA car market. Acura has a great lease program. Always err on the side of lower miles as they only charge you 10 cents a mile (50% of excess miles forgiven) of up to (I think) 5000 miles. If you do go under your prepaid miles,however they carry over your unused miles to your next Acura lease.

Congrats! Strong deal, and I'll confirm that the SoCal market is highly competitive. Lots of dealers to choose from, especially if you're willing to travel.

Yes sir. Thats what I did. I currently have the dealer locked in October numbers (the price i mentioned on the 30th of this forum). If rates get better, I have the power to negotiate a little more. I doubt the number is going to be too much a difference but even a 500 increase in lease cash, i will be trying to push an accessory on. If for some reason, number get bad, I will be getting the same agreed rate.
Lets just wait for the nov numbers now

Now that you have this information, you can figure out the Capitalized Cost (Adjusted Cap Cost) of the lease. It looks like he put the 53% residual for 15K instead of the 55% 12K residual. I plugged in the correct 55% residual with a selling price of $46,957 (50,207.00 invoice minus $3250 lease cash) and come up with a pre-tax payment of $511.46.

There are also quite a few other Acura Dealers on Long Island. I bought a car from Island Acura of Wantagh back in 2009. I know Raylle Acura (Roslyn) is a very large volume dealer as well. Have you gotten quotes from them? Shop around. Knowledge is power.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, i thought the residual is 55%. He said the selling price is $45,328 for the Tech with Entertainment. I live in Long Island and this is the best deal that I have gotten so far at this selling price for this trim. The next best one is at $46,800. Are the numbers accurate, nyccarguy? besides the residual. And I am assumming that the MF is .00050

I did not get itemization on the adjusted cap, but i do know that i told him to give me the adjusted cap cost with the taxes rolled in and this is what he sent me with the taxes rolled in. I see the money factor went down further and the residual went up. kyfdx, please tell me. With the 47671.63 cap cost and the sell price of 45328, do they all add up?

$2000 down 400 / month payment and 30000 miles - or $0 down 440 / month and 30000 miles.
Is it reasonable ? Should i be asking for more details on sale price etc.

Yes.. read back through this discussion, and look for the detail that others get in their lease quotes.

While your deal seems reasonable on the surface, without the details, who knows what lurks underneath?

In talking with one dealer they have indicated that I will pay list with no incentives. Fyi- I am in IL. Thank you very much

I get nervous when the numbers are rounded ever so perfectly. We need to see more details:

MSRP
Capitalized Cost
Money Factor (rent charge)
Residual Value
