Just got quoted a lease deal for the Accord EX-L w/Navi and Sensing for $302 per month for 36 months, with $0 down. Is that a good deal?

Oops left out that it is a 2017 model and it's with 10k miles per year, here in NYC

Is that $0 down, or $0 out of pocket?

Need to know the MSRP and selling price to model the payment.

@Michaell the MSRP price is $30,920, I wasn't given the sales price. The only money out of pocket is the bank fee and the first payment.

Relative to MSRP, that's a strong payment.

We'd suggest rolling the bank fee into the lease payment, but that's a personal decision.

@Michaell I'm sorry, but I don't understand your reply. What do you mean by "strong payment"? Is that good or bad.

Just about ready to start negotiating for best lease deals from area dealerships. Just curious, given the lease bonus cash incentive, if I should disclose my plans to lease a vehicle in my initial correspondence to get price negotiations going. What about mentioning my trade in (near end lease and prob have a little equity in it)?

I'd definitely let them know you are leasing. No point in bringing up the trade, until you get someone that is dealing on the lease, to start with.

So we got 4 replies, 3 viable offers and 1 bogus quote with the sales price as it appears on dealer website and a monthly payment amount. I am ready to go back (via email) to communicate with those who do not have the lowest price. One dealer/current lowest price offer already knows we have a trade/a car we previously leased at their dealership and has offered 18K (which now yeilds $500 pos. equity for us). The RV is listed at 56% and the MF .00083 on his quote.
Details on lowest offer so far:
    MSRP 27505
    Sales Price: 22260.39
    Doc fee 495
    Acq fee 595
    Lic fee 20
    Cap fee 42
    Gross cap 22392.93

    Customer Cash $500 (trade)
Payments 262.58/mo which include 14.86 in monthly tax.

We'd like to pitch an additional $500 for our trade (very good to excellent condition w 32,500miles) which would yield $1000 in positive equity, and bring the sales price down to 22k even. Of note, the only dealer w the actual color we really want is the one that provided the internet advertised price structure but the guy offered to 'introduce us to a sales person who could take us for a test drive". I left it at, "we'd love to give them a chance to earn our business and please put us in contact w someone who has authority to negotiate". Only one dealership knows about our trade. Is it time to let them all know? We hope to make the transaction on Saturday. Most of these folks are an hour away so we only want to drive to one place. Advice on next steps?

@rcld3 Given your requirements of having a complete deal on the table ahead of time, you'll have to let them know about your trade. Of course, any number you get will be contingent on an inspection of your vehicle. I doubt you'll get anything written in stone, before you go.

Typo on my end. Sorry. 23,392 is gross cap. Looks like they are still $20 wrong on the math :). Anything else I should double check or could expect to improve on?

I'm interested in leasing a 2017 Accord Coupe EX-L V6 Automatic (MSRP 32,150) or a 2017 Accord Coupe V6 Touring Automatic (MSRP 35,350). Can you tell me the money factor and residual value for a 3yr lease, 12K miles? Also, is the $1000 Dealer cash and $1000 bonus lease cash offered on these models? I am located in North Carolina. Thank you.

If I add $595 for the bank fee, $499 for the doc fee and $300 for DMV costs to your selling price, I get $268/mo with tax included. Pretty close to your quote.

Ask the dealer for the adjusted cap cost - I used $23894 in my calculations. And, make sure you understand how the dealer got to that number from the selling price.

Great, thanks Michaell. Will check with the dealer on the adjusted cap cost.
On a side note, if I have to replace the new Accord ex with Odyssey in 2-3 years, is buying with full cash down better or leasing better?

Lease versus buy is a personal, and situational, decision,

I lease my car - low payment, and I like a new ride in the driveway every 3 years.

We bought my wife's car - she'll likely keep it for many years.

And, you have to understand the costs associated with a lease that don't exist when you purchase - acquisition fee, disposition fee, etc.

One isn't necessarily better than the other.

There are often (different) incentives, if you buy.

Right now GM is offering discounts of up to 16% of MSRP on selected models - but, that discount only applies if you buy, not lease.

If they don't want to be transparent with the numbers, there are a lot of other Honda dealers willing to work harder for your business. Perhaps it's time to reach out to some of them.

About to pull the trigger on Accord EX  with Sensing here at NJ
    MSRP - 28505
    Selling price 22729 (includes destination)
278 (1st month's payment) due at signing, Taxes and fee rolled up into payments
    Term 36 months/12K
    MF/Residual  0.00083/55%

Will see the rest of  the variables today.
    Is this a good deal??

Also, planning on putting down 9 MSD's to reduce the MF. Will that help reduce my payments?

That looks about right, assuming $1700 for tax, acquisition fee, title/license doc fees.

Honda does not offer an MSD program.

Honda does not offer an MSD program.
was just checking the forum on Subaru's .... they got above 60% RV. Wont that make a better deal in terms of lease? I am going to spend over 10k on my accord ex sensing lease for 36/12K.

All else being equal, a higher residual will result in a lower payment.

But, no lease cash on Subaru, so the cap cost may be higher.

If there are any international students, Honda new graduate program is not applicable to internationals in student visa, as of today!! My reason for rejection from Honda, applying for a lease through New graduate program: WE DO NOT LEASE TO THOSE ON STUDENT VISA!! WE NEED WORK VISA. Just found out after wasting a couple of days with a Honda dealer.

Could you elaborate a little further on your post - are you saying you did not qualify for the new graduate rebate or did not qualify to lease a vehicle at all because of other requirements?

Back on April 3rd Moderator Michaell told me that the Honda lease rates are set to expire today, May 1st.

So what is the new MF and residual for a 2017 Honda Accord EX-L 4 cylinder with Honda Sensing & Navigation for 36 months/15k miles per year in California? How about the V6 EX-L again with Honda Sensing & Navigation?

Also when are these new lease rates set to expire?

    Thanks in advance

The April numbers are valid through today.

The new program starts tomorrow, and the rates aren't released ahead of time.

    hello gents,
Curious about lease data for accord LX (36mo, 12k miles, OH). Seems the May numbers reflect a lower MF while the residuals stayed the same from April? 1000 + 1000 incentives to boot?
