Hello all new to the forums, I am loving all the great help that is shared in this forum wowsers! Very knowledgeable people in here. I am about to join the Honda family again (coming from Toyota) and I'm looking for a 2017 Accord Sport SE so far I received 1 quote of $22.9k (not including fees and TTL) just an "E-price" from a NY dealer my zip is 11372. I see you all suggest to shoot for 15% MSRP and this is there already. Can I go any lower? or is this the lowest? Thanks!

Not sure if I am fan of the 2018 Honda Accord.

Saw it. The Sport 2.0 turbo with the 6spd manual sounds pretty nice

The rearend reminds of a cross between a Malibu and sonata. Or a poor mans Audi 7 series shrunk down. It's meh to me.

The only pros as far as features is Honda sensing comes standard, the re-introduction of a volume and tuning knob and the audio system - Audio systems vary by trim, starting with 4 speakers and 160 watts on LX, 8 speakers and 180 watts on Sport and EX trims, and 10 speakers and 450 watts on EX-L and Touring trims. All models feature USB charging ports (two 2.5-amp ports on EX and above) along with Bluetooth connectivity.

I couldn't care less about wireless charging, but it sounds like they have improved Bluetooth connectivity. There is also available heated rear seats and ventilated front seats. I will probably take a look at it when it arrives at dealerships.

    Beyond that, I am unimpressed.

MSRP for the base 2017 EX-L V6 coupe is $32,150. Invoice price is $29,475. So your quote is about $2844 below invoice before doc fees. After doc fees, it is $2545. That is not bad, but you could do a little better. Try and aim for an additional $500 to $800 off. Are you prepared to buy soon or are you planning to wait till the end of the month? I would also recommend reaching out to several dealers for quotes and asking them if they have flex cash, if you finance through Honda. It is an additional $500 that can be used towards your down payment.

I know nothing about used car pricing, so I cannot help you there. Good luck.

okay thanks, although I do need a car, but I'm not in a rush to buy one. I will still keep looking at other dealerships and getting quotes.

Just bought an (in stock) 2017 Honda Accord EX-L V6 w/Sensing+NAV from Michael Martinez at Sport Honda in Silver Spring MD for $28,385 before Tax, Title and $300 MD doc fee. No drama getting agreement so I'm guessing the 2017's have a $2k factory incentive now. that's 14% below the MSRP of $32,995.

    Hi all,

I am looking for a 2017 Honda Accord Coupe Touring in the NY/NJ area. I am unable to find a better price than the costco pricing which is:
$30,850 before taxes, license & registration fees (NY).

Both places in NY and NJ I went to gave approximately 33,925 to 33950 out the door.

Was anyone able to get a better deal in this area?

I am willing to go further for significant savings (such as Maryland) but they don't have the color I wanted.

    Thanks in advance!

There is a red 2016 honda accord coupe touring in Maryland, you can get it for around $29,000 out the door but it has high mileage around 20,000 miles. It's located at the ford dealer at whitemarsh.

    Hi carbuyer333,

Thanks for the heads up! I don't mind 2016 either. Although I was hoping for a white one.
All the NY/NJ dealers I dealt with said it was impossible for them to go below 33.9k OTD and they were already 2k below invoice.

15% off is a good deal, as long as you like the vehicle and comfortable with the payment enjoy your vehicle. Scroll through the prior posts to see what people have been negotiating the vehicles for.

Also, the moderators don't track pricing.

MSRP for the Sport SE CVT is $27,190 and invoice price is $24,951. Your e-quote is $2,051 below invoice before any documentation fees. You should be able to do better towards the end of the month.

    Here is my advice:
    • Look up dealer inventory in your area and find out the dealer(s) that have the color combo you are looking for.
    • Reach out to more dealers towards the end of the month for a price quote / "buy today" price.
    • Find out what dealer doc fees are. Not sure if they are capped in NY.
    • If you are planning to finance through Honda, find out what dealers have flex cash. Honda is offering $500 towards the down payment if you finance through them. Not all dealers have it and the flex cash does run out.
    • If pricing in your area is high, then expand your search area to states like MD, where pricing seems to be very aggressive.
    • .
    • Look up some of the tactics/advice in previous post about negotiating the best deal.
    I hope this information helps.

Thank you @brian125 @tom1965 @bluemkn57cars and everybody else for all the help and advice. I will keep you posted. Seems the quotes I've received from MD dealers are the lowest at $21.2k with destination and dealer fees included for the 2017 Accord Sport if they turn out to be legit.

You had mentioned you received a quote on a 2017 Accord EX-L V6 coupe for $26,631 and an OTD price of $29,354.80. Why not try and get a better deal on a 2017 model instead of buying a "new" 2016 model that will be nearly 2 years old in a few months?

I would prefer car with navigation and honda sensing, the 2017 does not have that , rarely find car with v6 navigation and honda sensing

I live in north NJ and I am in the market for a 2017 Honda Accord LX CVT. I have been quoted:

$19,861 - Base Price (inclusive of $875 delivery fee)
    $499 - Dealer documentation fee
    $20,360 - Total Dealer Price
    $1,425 - Tax
$21,785 - Total Price before Registration and License Fees

Has anyone seen better pricing? Should I hold out for more concessions as it is getting close to the end of the month?

    Thanks for the insight!

I know your in New Jersey. But, ask Maryland dealerships for quotes(prices). I think you can do much better! You can get a Sport model for a few hundred dollars more based off of that quote!

Thanks Brian. For clarification, when you say after taking the doc fee into consideration, is this added to the dealer invoice? For instance, if the dealer invoice is $21,195 with an additional $499 doc fee, should I be looking for a total dealer price of no higher than $19,994 ($21,195 + $499 - $1,700) but try to negotiate to $19,494 ($21,195 + $499 - $2,200)?

    Thanks again

    2017 Lx cvt models invoice = $21,285 plus $895 (dest charge) = $22,160

$22,160 minus dealers offer $19,861= $2299 below invoice minus $499 doc fee = $1800 below dealers invoice.

all dealerships doc fee charges are put onto final OTD price when signing the paperwork . always know each dealerships doc fee charge before negotiating a final price on vehicle.

Your room for negotiation is dealer add on's (over-priced ) and $400 doc fee. Use collegehills Honda accessories pricing as a guide to what you should target for accessories pricing if you bought online. Make dealer match or beat. Collegehills accessory pricing is very good......... but still not dealers invoice pricing .

I see some leftover 2015,2016 Accord V6 coupes available on dealer web sites. What would the target pricing be for an EXL V6 automatic? Honda must be offering a lot of help for a dealer to get rid of these. I'm in eastern PA but NJ, NYC and MD markets are an easy drive for a deal. Thanks for any help on this topic.

I plan to purchase a Honda Accord Hybrid EX-L in July or August. I am in the CT area. One of the best quotes I obtain is listed as below:

    Retain price: $33,780
    Sale price: $27,913
    Accessories: $399
Dealer doc fees + TTL: $499 (Doc) + $188 (Government fee)
    Tax : ~$1829
    Total Price: ~$30,828

Is it a good deal? Any comment for further bargaining? Thanks.

Anyone buy an Accord Ex in the Maryland area lately? Pulling the trigger soon. Still torn between the Sport or the Ex.
