Anyone buy an Accord Ex in the Maryland area lately? Pulling the trigger soon. Still torn between the Sport or the Ex.

Get the EX imho. AndroidAuto/AppleCarPlay really worth it!

Thanks Benjaminh. I'm not going to buy anything less than the EX model. I've looking at the EX-L and EX-L V6 too. Especially, after some of the posters here got there V6's here in Maryland for 27k OTD! I had a 2007 Ex-L v6 and drove it for 200k + miles. I keep my vehicles for a while and drive about 25k miles a year and do mostly highway driving. Wondering how everyone likes the cvt and 4cyl? And which engine do you think will last the longest(longevity)?

    brian125,
If your lurking somewhere out there? Need some advice. I've found a dealership with several new Honda Accords EX-L and EX-L V6's with anywhere from 2K-5K miles on them. They are either demo's or employee(managers cars). Not registered yet from what I can see. I will inquire with them about that though. What do you think would be a reasonable price to offer? I am in Maryland and one other member on here got a new EX-L V6 for 27,073 OTD. I was looking at 23.5k-24.5k out the door. I've given up on getting an EX manual. I've contacted every dealership that you recommended to me back in April about a price on one. And have hit them up at the end of the month ever since and they've been sky high!

carbuyer - any white touring coupes in your area for around that price? I am willing to travel. No good deals in NYC.

The price difference between buying new 2017 (non Manuel ) compared to a demo or managers car wont be much less of a savings for you. These vehicles you mentioned are usually sold to un- educated walk in buyers, who think there getting a good deal cause there's a few miles on them. $3500 plus below invoice would be a good deal on them. If you can get a dealer to bite..

what is your best price with buying a Manuel Accord to date ??

Every dealership that I contacted and that got back to me was around the 23'sK before the tax, tags, title and processing fee. All were around 25.5K out the door.

Your state Maryland has the best pricing in the country on Accord models, weather its a limited model like the Manuel Ex, or EXL. Make your best deal at the end of any month. The key to a great deal is letting each dealer know I'm buying today. Then on that day negotiate with 15 dealerships via internet or phone till you secure the best price out of your targeted dealerships . If $1500 to 2k below invoice is the best price on a Manuel Accord then buy it........ you got the best price from your area and dealerships. Good luck

yes sorry that was a typo, I so somebody got a deal in the range but that was in the early spring , was thinking I could get lower.

Did you end up getting the Touring?
No I did not, the deal was only valid if I financed through honda. I have my own financing and did not want to finance through them. I'm still looking and will look to buy at the end of the month.

I was quoted 22107 for the 2017 Honda Accord Sport.  How good is this price this time of year in SoCal?

Today, another Southern California dealership quoted 20922 MSRP on the 2017 Honda Accord Sport before tags/tax/title. Is this a great deal? Anyone out there?

NY / NJ / PA...... not as good as other area's .. Target pricing 2k below invoice plus lease cash . You may do better if dealers have a lot of your model on lots.

Email all your targeted dealerships ask for $2500 below invoice price which should include the $875 dest/ charge.... plus any lease cash for the sale that day.

Well, I ran the numbers by two other dealers and I've got one that has dropped it to 20722, including destination charge.

Maryland has good base prices on the vehicle but they tack on too many add on fees and the dealers won't even budge to remove those. for example, - $875 destination fee and $300 processing fee.

The destination fee is non-negotiable. All car manufacturers have a destination fee, hence when looking at the MSRP of a car, it should include that fee. As far as doc fees/processing fees, they vary from state to state. For example, in NY, they are capped at $75 while in states like FL, they can be more than $700. In MA, I have seen them range from $300 to more than $400.

While negotiating the best sale price on a car, take those doc fees into account. There are a lot of tips on this forum on how to get the best deal. End of the month will be the best time to buy.

I'll wait to till the end of the month and give Honda one more last try , if I can not get the deal I want then I will look for an  entirely different  vehicle . I was not charged a processing fee with my last vehicle which was a different brand. The honda dealers I have spoken to have been playing too many games , adding on uncesscary fees such wheel look fees or dealer package fees , when I ask them to take it off they won't budge. These honda dealers are too cocky for my liking , they act like they're selling a bentley.

Your best bet in avoiding unecessary fees is to browse each dealer's inventory and look for a car with no add-ons or minimum add-ons like wheel locks. You might be able to negotiate pricing on some of the add-ons, but it varies from dealer to dealer. Unfortunately, most dealers will not remove add-ons on a car. It is all part of their profit.

On a side note, I will not be purchasing another Honda any time soon. I was looking to purchase a Touring but pricing for the 2017 model was not aggressive enough for me. The 2018 model looks awful (design-wise) IMO.

I'm looking to purchase a coupe , so 2018 is not an option . The second dealer with the package quote is a fraud , the first quote they sent me did not have the dealer package , then sent me a second quote after I thought I lost the first one , which now  included the dealer package . I think the price will eventually drop, because the cars are not moving , they have been on the lot since at least the beginning of the summer . I do not have much time to be looking for a car, need to buy one
by the end of this month.

carbuyer333- Here's my 2 cents..I would do exactly what @bluemkn57cars suggested . Since you need to buy asap scan thru several dealers web sites making requests along with direct phone calls to each Internet manager/ dept. Tell all I'm looking to buy as soon as today for X price. Negotiate with dealers for the next 3 weeks hopefully pricing gets to............ or closer to your target price .

Be reasonable when negotiating. Getting 2k to 2500 below invoice is still a great deal for the Accord coupe .......... Just because your area / you cant make a lower deal does not mean its a bad deal. The 17 Accord is a great vehicle. If possible avoid vehicles with to many add on's unless dealers will discount items closer to there invoice price.

Thru Edmunds web site you could scan thru your buying area ( put in zip code ) for all models desired making your search easier.

    Hello 9_lease,

You'll have to provide a price breakdown for that value, as almost all states have different fees. For example, sales price, tax, destination fees, etc. The experts on this forum need that info to provide helpful advice.

If that is just the sale price of the car including the destination fee, then it is not a good deal at all. I am located in MA so pricing might be different on the West Coast, but you should aim for another $1200 off that price or even more towards the end of the month.

Reach out to as many dealers as you can for pricing in a couple of weeks. Ask about Flex cash and make sure dealers include their doc fees and any other fees in any price quote.

If you do not plan to buy this month, the best deals can be had when the 2018 models arrive at dealerships next month, probably.

    Good luck.

I have five dealerships in SoCal offering the 2017 Honda Accord Sport automatic for under $20,700, including the destination fee, excluding acquisition fee, taxes and license and drive-off of 650.

Where are you located? Boch Honda in MA (being a volume dealer) has some aggressive pricing. They had quoted me less than $29k not long ago, but their doc fees are $429 and they charge $96 for wheel locks (not a typo). All their cars come with wheel locks. Tax rate here is 6.25%.

I just want to add that pricing varies by state. Some folks in MD were able to land some great deals a few months ago. Even better deals compared to here in MA. Your best bet is to find a few volume dealers in your area and request a price quote. It will give you an idea of pricing in your area. Good luck.

Yes that was just a sales price. In no rush so definitely have time to wait it out and see if any better deals transpire at the end of the month or even next.

MSRP for the Sport SE with CVT transmission: $27,190 (includes $875 destination fee)
Invoice Price: $24,951 (includes $875 destination fee)

Your price is $2651 (24,951 - 22,300) below invoice. This is a great deal.
What are dealer doc fees? As long as you are in not in FL, where doc fees can be as much as $800, I would get on this deal.

    Good luck.

Hi All, I'm new here. Really appreciate the awesomeness of this forum helping people out.

I live in San Diego but I can go as far as Los Angeles if needed for better pricing.

Looking at a new 2017 Honda Accord EX-L v6 w/ Sensing or Touring in Lunar Silver. Gotten one pricing apiece.

    OTD EX-L v6: $31,500
    OTD Touring: $33,500

Both its $3000 down and 0.9% rate w/ 60 months for financing.

Just want to know if I can get better deals if I wait till 2018 model comes out, any input is appreciated.

What is the breakdown? We need the following:
    1. MSRP
    2. Sale price before any incentives
    3. Incentives if any
    4. Dealer doc fees
    5. Dealer add-ons/accessories

I just e-mailed different dealers for Out of Door Price and these are the best.

    MSRP EX-L v6 w/ Sensing: $33,730
    MSRP Touring: $35,805

    Sales EX-L v6 w/ Sensing: $28,661
    Sales Touring: $30,590

Didn't qualify for any incentive, like student for military. Ask for standard, no additional add-on/accessories.

Wondering if I should wait till next month when 2018 Accord comes in. Will these price drop then?

Ask about Flex cash. It is a $500 incentive that is applied towards your down payment if you finance through Honda. Not all dealers have it but you should ask about it.

You can do better with pricing on the Touring. Wait till the last two days of the month to make a deal. You could offer $29k before any fees or taxes on the Touring on the last day of the month, and tell the dealer you will buy today at that price. Did you look up dealer inventory to find out whether they have the car you want in your color combo without any accessories? If not, you should do that asap.

You did not say what the dealer doc fees are. Read up on some of the tactics others have used on this forum to negotiate good deals.

You can wait for the 2018 models to arrive, but there is no guarantee prices on the 2017 will drop. It is all about supply and demand.

I picked up a 2017 Sport SE last weekend for $22k + TTL. That included the dealer added molded floor and trunk mats and the splash guards. I wanted the Sport for $20.7, but they didn't have the color I wanted, but the SE was right there. Love it so far! The 0.9% was an added bonus.

One other thing to consider ... every day you wait, inventory shrinks. Will you be able to get the trim and color you want, two weeks from now?

At some point, the scales tip in favor of the dealer on old inventory, and prices actually increase for those last units. No idea when that will happen, mind you, since the '18's have yet to hit the lot.

    Just something to think about.

Wait till the end of the month to get the best deals. Although the color your looking for is not common especially in those trims. At the end of last month , I got quotes as low as $30,500 OTD for touring model but I was unable to purchase due to my work schedule. The current quotes , I have gotten have been $800 - $2000 more so I will wait till the end of the month to purchase again, it seems like the dealer have more incentives to sell at the end of the month. It also about the supply and demand, they're seems to be more supply than the demand which is why we are getting better prices in MD.

Yea.. that's my dilemma. Wait for better price but might not have the right color since its not that common. Or get it now for extra money. Although In CA, I don't think I can get as good of a price as you, probably $32,000 at best, and that's with a color that no one wanted and its been on manager special forever... Thanks for all you guys help though. I'll definitely try to get that Flex Cash a shot. Didn't know about that at all and I was planning to finance through them anyways.

I live in north NJ. Started getting quotes from dealers around end of July (last month). Once I get a quote, I throw that to other dealer (email) and ask if they can beat it. I told them I am only interested in OTD price which included tax, title, documentation, destination etc etc. In the end I received a quote from my local delaership for 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid EX-L OTD for $26,200 which I threw to another dealership. This quotes itself was an amazing one but the next dealer where I sent an email to has a policy of beating a quoted price by $300. SO now my final quote OTD is $25,900 and I am going to 1.9% for 72 months probably which they are aware of. Never visited any dealership in person. Did all these while at work over emails. I am still to buy the car as I was out of town since getting the last quote.

That's true. Everyone at my workplace and my brother are now pushing me to go buy it as they think for a car with MSRP around 33K, this is a great OTD price. In my process of negotiation, some dealers just turned down my challenge to beat other dealers' price saying it is too aggressive. However. all dealers are different. Some I found to be desperate to get rid of old inventories as it was the end of month.
