Car is in IL, would be registered in IN (sales tax 7%)

Now, between the two -- the first being $35,500 and this one being "right under $35K" (~$500 difference in price), but the MF being what you quoted it should be (.00055), between the 2 cars @ no down, the difference is only:
1st car @ 489/mo
2nd car @ 460/mo
Difference of $29.

But with your your calculations of 55% Res. and base MF for 36/12 (before tax) you came up with 416/mo. Perhaps its the tax im not factoring in...so with my state tax of 7% Im thinking this:
Sale price (34,999) x (55%) = 19249 (Cost to purchase after lease end)
Sale price (34,999) - Residual (19,249.45) = 15,749.55 (Amount paid during lease)
15,749.55 x State tax (.07) = 1,102.4685 / 36 = 30.62

So your number of $416 (before tax), plus my tax, it should be $446/mo, correct?

I am guessing between the $446 and $460 I was quoted ($12), must be misc fee's...

I agree with .00055 and 55% residual for 36/12. Quattro, right?
Residual percentage is applied to the MSRP, not the CAP cost.
So, start your calculations over with the correct residual. ($21,642.50, assuming MSRP of $39,350)

If this is the Quattro Prem or Prem +, I show 56% for 36/10. MF is correct at .00055, however.

Using your MSRP and $39,562 as the cap cost (selling price plus all taxes and fees rolled in, no cap reduction), I get $467/mo

What does the $1720 cover?

Our recommendation is to only pay the first payment and DMV costs up front; roll all the other taxes and fees into the lease.

@Michaell calculated your payment, using $37,175 as the CAP cost, because that's the figure you provided.

Forgot to add. Nothing out of pocket, Dealership making first payment.

Assuming Quattro - the base numbers are 55% for 36/12 and .00055

The credit bumps are .00030 for tier 3, .00050 for tier 4 or .00065 for tier 5

There may be a profit-related bump to the MF on top of that - ask the dealer what credit tier you fall into.

Using your numbers, and adding tax into the payment, I get $584/mo.

Good discount from sticker, however.

MF is marked up a touch from the base of .00055, but the 10% discount is pretty strong - we tell folks to shoot for 6%. Guaranteed that discount includes the available incentives.

You can push for the base MF, but be prepared to sacrifice some of the discount to get it.

The math on the attached worksheet is correct.

What does the $3K cover?

VA taxes the entire selling price @ 4.1% ($1681). Through in $725 acquisition fee and first payment and that almost covers it.

.00055 and 56%

With your prices, I get $475/mo.

Also ask the dealer what the adjusted cap cost is.
