The residual is the same, but the money factor is lower on the cabriolet (.00024). That would make the price $20/mo. lower.

Need to know how much of the $3000 goes to CAP cost reduction.
You have 4.17% tax on the full price, plus $795 acquisition fee, then dealer fees and DMV fees, and first payment. Is there anything left over?

Thanks so much for the info. really appreciate it. 1681+750+450+250 and around 200 dollars is going towards cap cost reduction so pretty much nothing.

    Hi there,

Looking for incentives and MF/Residual numbers on a 3yr/7500 and a 4yr/7500 lease of a quattro preimum plus cab in the Seattle area. Would also help to know what AFS requires in terms of money down to secure those numbers. We have excellent credit.

Looks like MF is .00024 based on what I've read in this threat (and heard from one dealer) and there is a $500 conquest or loyalty discount (dealer says one or the other, no stacking) available.

    Thanks very much!

Thanks to the hosts for the help. Here is the deal I signed for an A3 P+.
    I will use round numbers:
    MSRP $41k
    Agreed upon discount: 10.8%
MF: .00065 (figured discount was ok, so I was fine)
    $418 / mo
    10k miles, 36 months
    OOP: $1,200 taxes + Doc/License/Acq fee: $1,453 + 1st mo pmt
Fees seemed a little high but I had deal fatigue and signed anyway.
    Great little car.

Just received an offer for 2017 A3 2.0, quattro

    Premium Plus pkg
    Technology pkg

    MSRP - 42,060

    sales price - 36, 750

0 down, sign n drive of just first month payment, + dmv

    3yr, 36k miles

$457 per month + tax (PA)

Any wiggle room for a better deal with the parameters mentioned?

    .00055 MF and 55% residual
Need an adjusted CAP of about $38,400 to get to that payment
    $1650 difference
    $795 for acquisition fee.
    That leaves $850 unaccounted for.
I got further breakdown from the initial quote with some adjustments/clarifications for the month of April.

Looks like the monthly would be $452 (including tax) and $415 base. The upfront costs consist of first mo payment, plus tags, registration, fees totaling $1639 out the door. Seems like a good deal, but not sure if I have negotiating power to get it a little lower.

    Hi,

I'm starting to look at an Audi A3 Premium Plus Convertible in NJ 08879. The dealer sent me the following offer (early in the process so little details). I wonder if this is enough to let me know if it sounds right based on figures provided (aka no higher MF than needed for excellent credit etc). The MSRP should probably come further down another few k but I just wanted to see if everything else looks right. If this is even possible with the limited figures. Thanks!

2017 Audi A3 Cab Premium Plus / Technology Package / LED Lighting Package / B&O Sound System

    MSRP $50,390.00
    Price $48,374.40

    $733 1st Payment / 10K / 36 / $733 Per Month or $4,100.88 Taxes & Inceptions Upfront / 10K / 36 / $635 Per Month

Nope - the March numbers have expired. Can't use them to approximate the payment in April.

Hi, What's the MF and residual for a 2017 A3 Premium model with a convenience package (Apple Car Play, etc) and heated front seats? I'm looking at a 7500k mile/yr lease. The number for the AWD and FWD models would be appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Hello,

Scenario: Friend needs to get out of her car - it's depreciating faster than she is paying it off and the car no longer has a warranty. She owes 14,500 - a dealer was willing to give her 10. She can put 3,500 down.

She was interested in a 2017 A3 Sedan w/ Quattro. MSRP is $37,305 discounted to $35,067.
She will need it for 36 months @ 12k a year and lives in Pennsylvania.

Can you provide the MF and Residual? Also, can anyone assist with an estimated payment?

I appreciate your time and help very much!
    Thanks

    .00034 MF and 53% residual

$444/mo.+tax, assuming all other fees/charges are paid upfront (not counting the $4500 negative equity).

You can't trade your way out of negative equity. I'll guess the payments + repairs on her current car will be considerably cheaper than leasing a luxury make vehicle.

I understand that. I find that number a little surprising as a dealer is advertising the same monthly payment (450) on a new S3 with $2500 down for 10k. I understand each vehicle would factor different numbers, but didn't think it would be $444 without factoring in the negative equity on a A3 since really she is only rolling over an extra $1,000 in negative equity with her downpayment. Granted, she won't have additional money to utilize as a downpayment which would spike the payment.

However, with her current payment, the car won't be paid off in 3 years where if she rolled up her negative equity in three years she will be free plus at the very least have a warranty in the event something needed to be fixed. I am also having her look at other options. Really surprised the VW Eos didn't hold a good value.

The $3500 she is putting down won't go exclusively to the negative equity - there is the acquisition fee ($895 as of 4/17), the dealer fee (varies by state), first payment and DMV/registration costs. What's left can be used as cap reduction.

Audis, as a rule, don't lease all that well. Ideally, you want to find a car with a high residual and a low MF.

Hi There, we're in Los Angeles with T1 Credit.

    2017 Audi A3 e-Tron
    MSRP $43,245

We don't know the Sell price, but we know we may qualify for a $3,000 loyalty program for a Takata airbag recall. (We're also part of the VW TDI buyback.)

    Any advice?

    Thanks!

Thanks for everyone's help, I'm totally new at this. This is the deal they offered in LA--good? bad?

Audi 2017 A.3 e-tron Premium (no tech package)

    MSRP: 43,775
    Residual: 22,763
8K in incentives between Takata airbag (3K), loyalty ($500), and $4502 PHEV lease Bonus

    436.54 Monthly Payment (476.92 w/tax)
    36/10
0 Due at signing, includes first month, so (16,550 total)

Is this a good deal or a bad deal?

What is the selling price, before applying the $8K in incentives?

Also: Is it possible that they offered a MF of .00155? I took a blurry pic of his screen before he turned it away from me.

The base MF is .00015, this month, and 52% residual.

If I use $33,400 as the net cap cost, I get $304/mo plus tax

Ask the dealer what the adjusted cap cost is that they used to get to their payment.

The MF could be marked up for extra profit.

    What state is this?

When you say "buying out" your current lease, what does that mean, exactly?

    New Jersey.

I was under the the impression that the dealer was completing the final 5 payments on my current lease of $537 each.

I called and asked about this and he said they are treating my current lease from them as a trade in. Does that make sense because it's confusing me. I am going to call again and ask for clarification but I was hoping for a sanity check here.

    Thanks.
