Can I please have the RV and MF for 2017 GTI SE for 36mo/10K in Maryland. I currently live in Washington DC, was also wondering if I got a car from VA would I have to pay the sales tax on the whole car or only the lease payments since my address is in DC and not VA. Thanks.

Dealer is marking up the MF; politely tell them you won't sign a deal where the MF is inflated. They know what the base rate.

No information on whether production for the '17's is finished or not.

Maryland taxes the entire selling price - in your case, that would be about $1310.

The destination fee is part of the MSRP - dealer should not break that out. Adding the tax and your other fees to the selling price, I get $24,423 - that number becomes the cap cost.

Ask the dealer what cap cost amount they calculate.

.00130 and 56% for the base rates - that includes tiers 1 and 2. If you are tier 3, add .00030.

Therefore, I conclude the dealer is marking up the MF on you.

Using .00130 and 56% with the MSRP and cap cost, I get $297/mo. If I bump the MF to .00160 for tier 3, the payment becomes $309/mo
