I know nothing about the CT24 but it looks like a mating of a Citroen front end with a 1st-gen Corvair back end. Surprisingly, I rather like it. Not sure about the "clap-hands" wiper design that meets in the middle of the windshield though.

A Renault Dauphine next to the Panhard and then a nice light green Pug 404. Past the Puegeot we have what could be an old Simca Aronde

I would say the car next to the CT24 looks like a Renault Dauphine but the badge on the wing makes me think it may be the slightly upmarket version - the Ondine.

Two-stroke, 3 cylinder. The 850 "Monte Carlo" is really a fun car to drive.

Yes its a Vauxhall Viceroy. This is a forgotten car really - they made them for several years from 1978 but seem to have been little known even when new.

The larger Vauxhalls were by then re- badged Opels and the ones everybody knew were the Carlton - an Opel Rekord - and to a lesser degree the Royale which was the Opel Senator, but between these was the Viceroy based on the Opel Commodore.

Earliest version had slightly more 'chrome' - plastic... but this is one of the facelifted ones from 1981/2.

Rear view of the same car.

British/German Ford Sierra, an even uglier variant was sold here as the Mercury Merkur mid 90s IIRC.

Yep, with Ms. 80s Chic is an early Sierra 4 door. We got the 2 door as the Merkur XR4Ti. This car started the Ford worn bar of soap styling theme that influenced the aero T-Bird, Tempo, Mark VII, and Taurus, and pushed US design into a modern age.

I saw that on BaT. I can't imagine what it could cost to be sorted, but great color combo anyway.

As one of the commenters there noted, I am struggling to understand the thinking of the original purchaser of one of these ordering it in metallic red over cream leather.

But it was 1969, and drugs were becoming more popular. Maybe a record company exec.

    Pick a large number.

Then double it. Maybe with 3D printing some parts have come down in price, but an OEM distributor cap used to cost hundred, and a water pump something like $1,500. This car has hydraulic seats and windows with high pressure lines running throughout the car. If a line breaks, it could actually be dangerous if you were a technician working up close to it. When I worked at Benz, we used to break pencils with those windows (yes, just for fun). They worked like the entry doors to the starship Enterprise bridge deck. ;)

That tank could haul ____ though. It wasn't poofy like a Rolls. It "handled" pretty well for its size.

Slowly I opened the overhead door to the storage shed. I shined my light into the darkness, looking for a light switch, as I inhaled the thick odor of dust and old cardboard.

And suddenly, in the glow of the overhead florescent light, I saw......

I must be missing something. What is wrong with metallic red over cream?

Well this was a very formal car, built for heads of state and for exclusive livery service. Red's a bit pimpy for this class of vehicle (ahem...in my opinion).

But then, I remember one of the playboy siblings of a wealthy American family driving one of these into a ditch. Allegedly, we heard at Benz that he was naked and his hair was dyed green.

    But we mustn't judge.

I had an ownership file on every 600 sold around the world. A few disappeared into China.

I am thinking 100K, maybe a little more, to get it how I might want it, anyway. The W100 cult doesn't like patina.

It'd be cool when finished though, maybe a 1 of 1 in that color combo. You'll run in the red to match the color of the car, but it'll be a hit at your local MBCA gatherings.

I could have got this by the pic, but the data plate helps a lot. It's W186.014, a 300 / Adenauer cabrio. 1952 is quite early for one of these. Lovely car.

The British roadster is a revival of an older make which had been more prolific in the 50s- 70s.

But I'd be surprised if they could make anything that ugly while under Aston Martin.
