That mystery car photo that we couldn't figure out. I got an e-mail back from Mt. Olympus which says:
"Hi Joe, It looks like a slight variation on a French Ford (I think that they were called "Comete") Does it have a flathead V-8. It also looks a little like a post-war Delahaye, does it have an inline six??
French styling in the early postwar period was every bit as advanced as Italian. Ford of France was absorbed by Simca in the early 50s. They produced the Simca Aronde, which was the biggest seller in the French home market for much of the 50s but by the end of the 60s Simca itself been absorbed by Chrysler.
Well sorta, it's an Audi S2 based on the Audi 90 Quattro Coupe of '92-'96 . The S2 was powered by a Turbocharged 5 cyl (230HP). Suspension was extensively altered from standard Quattro coupe spec.
The BMW is a 320i from early 80's isn't it? I don't believe the 5 series ever came in 2 doors.
You're close but like most imports BMW offers a wider variety of motors overseas, the red car w British plates is a 316i, not a 320i (essentially the same car, E21 in BMW-speak).
a Chevrolet Spark, right? It's based on the Daewoo Matiz and sold in Europe.
It's also one of the best selling cars in China, where GM has taken the lead in sales (China apparently exists in a Twilight Zone where GM and VW are one-two and Toyota struggles to keep up with Hyundai and Kia).
That made me drool: A Bugatti EB110. Powered by a 3.5L quad turbo V12 making 550+ hp (depending on year), with all that power hitting the pavement through a 4 wheel drive system.
Saw only one in person at our Auto Show about 10 years ago.
And the most common color for the 57 Fords is that strong blue with white in the Midwest when I was growing up. Did the Skyline come with a certain motor or was there a choice between the 292 and 312 cu. in. (I think the 272 cu in was only in the Custom series)
Okay, this one is weird. I saw this on I-35 going up to drop my son off in college in Iowa. Americans should recognize it, but my question is whether anyone knows where the internal mechanicals of the car come from.

Our original photo:
perhaps a little custom work? It looks close....
You can learn about the Comete here:

Even if it's not, I agree with Mt. Olympus, the car certainly looks French to me.

First thought it was a 3 series, but it actually looks more like a 5 series 2 door.

2210 is certainly based on a c.85 Mitsu Colt...but I bet it is some Malaysian derivative made 10 years after the fact...a Proton maybe?

Under the hood is an engine, obviously.
If you want the size, I'd say a V8. A 426?
COuld be a sprint, but I don't think they had nostrils and the hood tach.
