    Fintail nails the Panhard, it's a PL17 ca. 1960, a four banger sized between a Dauphine and a DS19.

Lotus Bread Van....er...Europa I mean, with Renault power of all things. Drivers with big shoes need not apply.

Keerect guys, I actually saw a Europa in traffic this Spring, they're incredibly low, it must be like driving a luge.

Juice, you're right it's a Pajero io, probably sold everywhere outside of N. America. It would be a nice vehicle to bring to N. America though.

And yes, 2281 is a Chrysler Conquest.

2306 looks something from the 50s or so, I guess. I'm guessing Ford or Dodge?

What gave it away, the visor, the fender skirts or the chrome stripes? :P

Sorry, it's not a Ford or Dodge.

...an early '50s Oldsmobile - probably an 88.
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,675
It's a '51 Olds '88. I can't remember what year my Gramps had but it looked like that one.

is a Bentley Azure. Speaking of Bentley droptops, I can't wait for the Continental convertible to come out.

    What's this?

I cannot physically drive a Europa, even with shoes off and belt loosened and head cranked sideways. Over 5' 8"...ferget it.
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,675
Hell over 5'8" you'd be hard put to get into one, let alone drive it.

    Studebaker Avanti
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,675
    Studebaker Avanti

Indeed, but more precisely an early ('62?) Studebaker Avanti. IIRC the later Studebakers and all the non-Stude Avantis came with rectangular surrounds to the headlights, the circular surrounds were definitely limited to Studebaker made cars, later cars did come w 7" dia round h/ls but these were set in rectangular surrounds.

    Confusing enough?

an MGB from the rear, and that seems to be an MG badge, so I guess it is one of the later MGs that we never got.

Late 1980's Lancia, don't know the model name. the car behind is a Ford Mondeo of similar vintage.

  • navigator89navigator89 Member Posts: 1,080
Nope it's not a Lancia, at least not that I know of. But yes, the car is late 80s-early 90s.
  • ateixeiraateixeira Member Posts: 72,587
    Isn't that a Rover grille?

  • michaellnomichaellno Member Posts: 4,120
Yep, I believe that the white car is a Rover 800 series ... we knew it in the states as the Sterling. Co-developed with Honda.
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,675
    Good eye, Juice.

I'll bet it's the Rover Sterling ca. 1988.

    Late Rover 827, with a N registration I think from around 1994
  • navigator89navigator89 Member Posts: 1,080

Current model TVR Tuscan. Ugliness has been part of the TVR Mystique since the 60s
but the current Tuiscan sets new standards. :P

Ferrari 288 GTO, c. 1984. I had a model of one as a kid...I thought it was very beautiful.

Anyway, to keep this thread moving here's one.

    I'm stumped.

I'll throw out a SWAG - Renault. They had tall/heavy looking rears like that on some earlier cars.

Here's a hard one. I'll give you two shots of it: one's just an open version of the other.

    HINTS: late 70s, early 80s, Swiss, Mercedes 6.9 V8 on a 450SEL frame.
  • navigator89navigator89 Member Posts: 1,080
First, does anyone know why posts 2339-2341 are missing?

Anyway 2342 isn't a Renault but the manufacturer is obviously European.

Mr_Shiftright, you've stumped me with those two. The first car's body shape looks vaguely familiar.
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,675
They look a little like Monteverdis but those had MoPar-power. :confuse:

Another hint. A Swiss manufacturer who in addition to this car, made many other types, including a reproduction of a prewar BMW 328.
  • fintailfintail Member Posts: 58,590
    Sbarro!

2348 looks like some kind of Peugeot
  • Mr_ShiftrightMr_Shiftright Member Posts: 64,481
Good man! Sbarro "Stash" is the full name.
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,675
Sbarro made some astonishingly weird stuff, those look relatively tame.

Yeah the little box is a Pug. I'll leave it up for a while and see if anyone knows which or at least when.

    2016 Audi A7 3.0T S Line, 2021 Subaru WRX

  • navigator89navigator89 Member Posts: 1,080
Any guesses for the small car in #2342? If you can't tell, it's from a European manufacturer.
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,675
    I'd say late 70's 104 model

    Close it's a '75 Puegeot 104 ZS2, what a little charmer.

Navi, how 'bout a better picture of that little skate (#2342)?
