It's a '65 Aero Willys from Brazil. AFAIK it's mechanically identical to it's American cousin sold in the US in '53 & '54

  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,671
    Yeah, it's a '64. Here's something a little harder......

Not that hard. It's an Iso Rivolta.

  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,671
That's right, it's a '65 Rivolta, a 327 Chevy powered GT from the same refrigerator maker that gave us the Isetta (BMW built them under license).

Started as the Bristol 603. now called the Blenheim. Yep, that thing is actually a late model car.
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,671
Yep that's the current model Bristol Blenheim, made by the largest remaining British-owned car maker. It's not to be confused with an earlier model Blenheims they made during the 1940s=>

The Mustang is also the relatively rare California Special trim package

2418 looks like another southeast Asian pretend SUV/soft roader/tall wagon. Which company, I have no idea
  • ateixeiraateixeira Member Posts: 72,587
    Gotta be a Mitsubishi. :D

    Looks tall, hmm. Daihatsu something?

That's what I was looking for, it is the rarish '68 CS.

How about a look at the front of #2418? They all look alike from the side.

Yes guys it is yet another "crossover" wagon/SUV. And it is from Southeast Asia, I rented one in Indonesia. It's a great car.

Here is a picture of the front, which even shows the manufacturer.

a very tall car or a very small guy.
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,671
A quick google search of "Toyota Indonesia" leads me to believe that's a Toyota Kijang.

    I wonder if it's Camry/Highlander-based or a version of the 4-runner?

Is that the new Land Cruiser Prado (SWB)? I haven't seen one since my dad lived in Belize.

They sold all kinds of Land Cruisers. We only got the big one here, but they had a smaller one, and even a 2 door model.

Bottom one is from India, isn't it? Embassador?

2425 is a Standard 10/Triumph something/or something else that used the bodyshell
  • lemmerlemmer Member Posts: 2,689
That little guy is the manufacturer?
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,671
It's a 1958 Standard Super Ten. Stirling Moss owned the 1955 version, his was equipped with Borrani wire wheels (!).

    '63 or '64 fuel injection?

    Bob
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,671
It's a '63. The lettering under the crossed flags gives the Fuelie motor away (340 HP in '63). The '64 didn't have any mesh over the louvers on the hood.=>

Also... At least Alfa has the grill going the right direction... What the heck is Subaru thinking? Every time I start to consider one of their cars, they do something weird to it....

    LOL

Andreas Zapatinas is the new chief designer, and he came from Alfa.

It's not unlike J Mays moving to Ford, then you see the Ford Five Hundred resembling the Audis he drew while there.

    Alfa 159, isn't it?

Yes, you're right #2418 is indeed a Toyota Kijang.

Searching the Alfa Romeo website shows that #2433 is an Alfa Romeo 166.

I looked at the car and said "VW Polo".
So I'm gonna guess it's a mid-to-late-80s SEAT, whatever the name of the model was that was based on that year's Polo.

With all the Seat Alhambras/Scoda Octavias/VW Ventos and whatnot, it's no wonder I get confused...

You have the right era, it's a mid-late 80s model but not related to any VW or SEAT.

Looks similar to my '87 Chevy Sprint Metro, which was essentially a Suzuki. I'm sure it's not related to any Suzuki.

The hood badge looks like MG

  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,671
Brian you're close but inadvertently, I don't think the car is related in any way to the Chevy Sprint Metro. It is indeed an MG, an MG Metro and it's a mid-late 80s design but again, I doubt it's related to any Suzuki/Chevy.

IIRC some Metros wore Morris or Austin badges as well as MG.

It's a late 80's MG/Rover/Austin Metro Turbo whichever company marketed it at the time.

For sure it's a Metro though.

And there's a Maestro parked right beside it :P

I really knew it wasn't related to my old Sprint Metro, but the look was very similar. My '87 looked a little similar to this '86: http://www.sonnet.com/usr/matt2/0718_009.jpg

They 'rounded' 'em out beginning in '88 and dropped the Chevy name, using Geo instead.

I actually owned one when I was a broke college student. I timed it nicely, though, and bought it right before Operation Desert Storm. Gas prices spiked and I was getting 50mpg! :D

My friends stopped teasing me and started begging for rides. :P
