Yes, you're correct! It is indeed a Skoda Fabia, which is a fine looking car IMO.

I had no clue what the red roadster, was so I had cheat, and wow I never knew this vehicle existed! For all you guys trying to guess, the car comes from the 1950s.
  • Mr_ShiftrightMr_Shiftright Member Posts: 64,481
Looks kinda Allard-y (but it's not the grille is wrong) or one of them Cadillac powered scare yourself to death "sports" cars people were building then. But I don't know.

504S ca. 1954, Kurtis Indy roadsters were perennial combatants at the 500 during the 1950s.

    image

Kurtis Kraft also built kit cars and later complerte turn key sportscars for customers in the mid-50s. Shifty, better not let the old timers @ R&T know you didn't reconize a Kurtis grille. ;)

You know I DID recognize it as something but couldn't quite place it. Everytime I see one of those old Indy cars I think of Colin Chapman going to the Indy 500 as a spectator and saying to a friend "These are obsolete monsters. I could win this race" (or something like that).

And he did, too, with a very small light car with a .....gasp!......rear engine!

I wanted to say it was from "Bullitt", but the Mustang looks wrong....

It looks like Bullitt to me as well. The Mustang looks wrong because the roof is reflecting a reddish color, perhaps it's the setting sun. In any case it's chasing a Charger anda lot of Vee-Dubs in the background is certainly consistent with the Bay Area ca. '68. ;)

    2372 is a Daihatsu YRV

The Mustang and Charger are indeed from Bullitt. There's even at least one fintail seen in the movie, too.

    okay....boxy rear engine four door....hmm.......

Looks like a Fiat 1100 but that's a front engine car, and this isn't, so.....

    Definitely not English

So unless it's one of those eastern European nutty things I'm going to guess French something or other, Renault, Simca, Talbot, etc.

Mercury! I'm guessing a '49 model. If not a '49, then a '50 model. It's hard to tell without seeing the front.

not sure of the year, but that's a Unipower GT which apparently is at least loosely based on the Mini. http://ben.shiga-med.ac.jp/people/sugimoto's/Unipower.html

Not sure if we posted a similar one, but this particular car is interesting because of the aerodynamics. Although it is from a 1948 design, it still scored very very high in aero efficiency during extensive testing in 1975, beating out many modern cars of the day. In fact, the only modern cars that beat it had extensive bellypan structures.

Yep that's a Unipower GT which used a reversed Mini Cooper 1275 powertrain (i.e. mid engined), ca, mid-60s.
