What's the standard fees for California -
acquisition is it 700 or 795
    doc 80
    electronic filing - 29
    tire fee - 8.75
    then DMV fees

    are these normal?

    $700 acquisition fee for Lexus

The rest are imposed by the state of CA and are normal.
Lexus acquisition fee just went up to $795.

Not sure if I asked this prior - does Lexus have an auto pay discount on the mf

also I know this is a leading form, however since we discussed Lease fees what's purchase fees/ trying to see if it's much difference

I'm talking about fees as in on a lease , you have doc fee , filing fee , acquisition fee, etc. are those the same for a purchase or are they the same?

how do you calculate how much each msd buy down is? It's a max of 9, but how do you get a total amount ?

The government costs will be the same, as is the doc fee. You won't have an acquisition fee if you purchase.

Each security deposit is the monthly payment, rounded up to the next highest $50.

Do you recalculate it after each msd? Is it calculated before the msd buy down or after?

Ex: say if your total payment with tax at .00080 is 600- will it be 600x9 =5400

    or say at .00008 after 9 msd is it 500x9 = 4500

those are just figures nothing precise, understanding purposes. Thank you

I believe it is the pre-MSD payment amount that is used.

Is there a way for further clarification - I used a calculator online and it's based on after the reduction- also seen on another manufacturer it was after.

not sure if the info I found if factual - can anyone chime in ?

I am seeing the rebates below for New York:

    Base AWD - $500 - - 7/5/2017 Bonus Cash
    (Lease Cash)
    Base AWD $1,000 - - - - - 7/5/2017 Bonus Cash
    (Lease Loyalty Reward Bonus Cash)
    Base AWD $1,000 - - - - - 7/5/2017 Bonus Cash
    (Lexus Cash)

Can the Lease Loyalty AND the Lease cash both be used on the same lease transaction for a total savings of $2000 assuming that you are coming off of a Lexus lease?

On line calculators often make incorrect assumptions. Some brands use the pre-MSD payment, others the post-MSD payment.

Now I'm questioning which it is that Lexus uses.

I am a little bit confused. You are saying there is $500 incentive.
This place shows that there is Leasing Bonus Cash for $1500 plus another offer for $1000
    https://www.edmunds.com/lexus/rx-350/2017/deals/

How are they different from incentive? Can I use these cash towards future lease? I am currently with Lexus.

Is the any chance that we can get higher market value at the end of the lease for RX ? Currently the RV is set for 61% in 36/10. Assuming $47K MSRP, I would have to pay $28.5K at the end of the lease in year 2020 to buy it.

The cheapest used 2014 RX 350 in my area is on sale for $33K. Meaning that if I would have leased this vehicle in 2014, my car was in dealer for sale now for $33K which is $4.5K higher than its RV.

Having said that, do you think it is a right move to lease RX now in a hope to purchase it after the lease finish ?

Rarely does it make sense to buy a car at the end of the lease; if your intention is to keep the car for a long time, better to just buy it outright from the start.

Residual values set by the bank have nothing to do with actual market conditions; they are set to help establish a particular payment and move inventory.

Frankly, the manufacturers want to keep you on the leasing merry-go-round; when your current lease ends, just get the newest model for (probably) not a big jump in the payment.

I've always been curious about that, since MFs are often lower than loan rates...is it because of the acquisition and disposition fees, or are there other factors that making it better to purchase outright (if you want to keep long term)?

Yes, the fees associated with a lease compared to a purchase are part of the equation - you won't have those costs if you buy outright.

The other thing to think about is this - when you go to buy your car at the end of the lease, it's a used car. And, if you take out a loan, you'll pay used car interest rates.

    Hello,

Can you please confirm if the Residual and MF in South Florida for a base 2017 Lexus RX 350 for 36/10 is in fact .00080 and 61% ? Does Lexus do 24 or 27 months? If so, what are the Residuals for those assuming same MF?

    A few other questions:
    1. Each MSD is basically equal to the monthly payment I am able to negotiate correct? How much do MSD's reduce the MF by?
    2. How much of a discount off MSRP should i shoot for? I see people saying 13% off - is that realistic?
    3. Does the Residual Value take a hit on Demo vehicles if miles are above 5k? On that note, how much of a discount should I look for on demo vehicles? I was told to go for .50 / mile on the BMW discussion.
    4. Lexus is currently promoting $1500 lease cash in my region that ends 7.5. I know there is no way for you to know future promotions, but, IN YOUR EXPERIENCE, what is typically the best time to lease a Lexus. Their December to Remember sales events are pretty good, but i just don't know whether i should rush in to take advantage of the $1500 promotion or wait to see if something better comes along later on the in the summer. I have a few weeks until i need a new car.
    Thanks so much!

    Hello,

Can you please confirm if the Residual and MF in South Florida for a base 2017 Lexus RX 350 for 36/10 is in fact .00080 and 61% ? Does Lexus do 24 or 27 months? If so, what are the Residuals for those assuming same MF?

    A few other questions:

    Confirm .00080 and 61% for 36/10. 68% / 67% for 24/27 and 10K

Yes, each MSD is the monthly payment rounded up to the next highest $50

Each MSD lowers the MF by .00008

If the vehicle has over 500 miles on it, there is a .20/mile deduct for all the miles

No thoughts on pricing - use the 'make / model / year' pull downs at the top of the page to link to the price tools

We don't track any historical data, so can't answer your question about when it's best to lease. Generally, I'd say it's when you need a car.

    Thanks Michaell!

Just to confirm, "If the vehicle has over 500 miles on it, there is a .20/mile deduct for all the miles", you are saying that i should aim to get a 20/mile deduction off the price if the demo vehicle has over 500 miles on it? Because the first part of my question was regarding BMW's policy on demo vehicles over 5000 miles, you deduct 4 percent from whatever the residual is and you also deduct 25 cents a mile from the total. So if the car had 5000 miles on it, you'd deduct 1250 dollars from the residual amount, in addition to the 4 percent drop. But for Lexus, you are saying only the .20/mile deduction applies with no Residual hit?

Any comments on how much off MSRP i should try to negotiate?

    Thanks again!

The .20 deduct is from the calculated residual; no % off the residual, as is the case with BMW.

    No help with pricing.
