    Quick correction. MSRP is $50,823
Adjusted cap cost factoring fees and incentives is $45,613
    NYS Tax 8.8875%

NY taxes the sum of the payments - if you aren't paying that amount up front, you'll have to add it to the cap cost.

With your numbers, I get $453/mo - my guess is that the taxes are added in.

    Hello,

Can you please confirm if the Residual and MF in South Florida for a base 2017 Lexus RX 350 for 36/10 is in fact .00080 and 61% ? Does Lexus do 24 or 27 months? If so, what are the Residuals for those assuming same MF?

    A few other questions:

    1. Each MSD is basically equal to the monthly payment I am able to negotiate correct? How much do MSD's reduce the MF by?
    2. How much of a discount off MSRP should i shoot for? I see people saying 13% off - is that realistic?
    3. Does the Residual Value take a hit on Demo vehicles if miles are above 5k? On that note, how much of a discount should I look for on demo vehicles? I was told to go for .50 / mile on the BMW discussion.
    4. Lexus is currently promoting $1500 lease cash in my region that ends 7.5. I know there is no way for you to know future promotions, but, IN YOUR EXPERIENCE, what is typically the best time to lease a Lexus. Their December to Remember sales events are pretty good, but i just don't know whether i should rush in to take advantage of the $1500 promotion or wait to see if something better comes along later on the in the summer. I have a few weeks until i need a new car.
    Thanks so much!
    Confirm .00080 and 61% for 36/10. 68% / 67% for 24/27 and 10K

Yes, each MSD is the monthly payment rounded up to the next highest $50

Each MSD lowers the MF by .00008

If the vehicle has over 500 miles on it, there is a .20/mile deduct for all the miles

No thoughts on pricing - use the 'make / model / year' pull downs at the top of the page to link to the price tools

We don't track any historical data, so can't answer your question about when it's best to lease. Generally, I'd say it's when you need a car.
    Thanks Michaell!

Just to confirm, "If the vehicle has over 500 miles on it, there is a .20/mile deduct for all the miles", you are saying that i should aim to get a 20/mile deduction off the price if the demo vehicle has over 500 miles on it? Because the first part of my question was regarding BMW's policy on demo vehicles over 5000 miles, you deduct 4 percent from whatever the residual is and you also deduct 25 cents a mile from the total. So if the car had 5000 miles on it, you'd deduct 1250 dollars from the residual amount, in addition to the 4 percent drop. But for Lexus, you are saying only the .20/mile deduction applies with no Residual hit?

Any comments on how much off MSRP i should try to negotiate?

    Thanks again!
The .20 deduct is from the calculated residual; no % off the residual, as is the case with BMW.

    No help with pricing.
I'm sorry, so the .20 deduction takes a bite out of the residual? For example, if a vehicle has a residual of 60%, a $50,000 vehicle with 1000 miles on it would see its Residual drop from $30,000 (60% of 50K) to $29900 ((1000 - 500)*.20) ?

If so, I guess i was asking more in terms of what i should negotiate off the MSRP on demo vehicles. You had indicated on the BMW thread that we should shoot for .50 discount for every mile. I hope that makes sense.

Is each MSD equal to the original payment, that is, what the monthly payment would be BEFORE applying the MSD's, or what the payment comes out to AFTER applying the MSD? Other then dealer and doc fee, is it also typical to pay for Electronic Filing and License fees? If so, what are they?

    Thank you soo much!

Looks like a great deal! Base or Sport? Can you please tell me which dealership in Florida? I am currently looking in the South Florida area. So if you rolled in the $1594 bank / docs fees into the monthly payment, I am guessing the remaining $400 or so out of pocket expenses was Electronic Filing, License and DMV fees etc?

    Thanks, in advance, for sharing!

Not 100% certain, but I'm pretty sure it's the pre-MSD payment amount for Lexus.

The filing and license fees are imposed by the state - these are charged by the dealer to file the paperwork with the state DMV.

F-sport starts at about $52k in all south florida. I wish there was a sweeter spot between $44k base and the one that I got.
I got base with premium, 20 inch wheels and some other options. All dealers (again in south florida) have that build.
$1594 was already in the lease. You would still need to pay first month as contract is for 35 months. I could have rolled Electronic Filing, License and DMV fees etc.
Another option was (to lower payment) to give up to 8 or 9 MSDs. It would have lowered payment by 00008 per MSD as you can see from other posts.

Dealership was Lexus of North Miami.

Thanks for the info man! I'm looking for one with prem package, nav and blind spot assist. MSRP on the cheapest one with that build is around $52,485 on the North Miami Lexus website. Any tips on how you were able to get a 12.5% discount? Would you be willing to share the name of the sales guy or sales manager? Thanks so much for all the feedback!

    Monthly payment $474.80 (35 payments)

    Dear MODERATOR!
May I have your feedback please?
What is the adjusted cap cost?

Using your numbers, I get $433/mo before tax.
    it is $44848.53.
    my tax is 6%
Yep, I'm now just a penny off of that calculation.
I think it is a decent deal, right?

Looks like a great deal! Base or Sport? Can you please tell me which dealership in Florida? I am currently looking in the South Florida area. So if you rolled in the $1594 bank / docs fees into the monthly payment, I am guessing the remaining $400 or so out of pocket expenses was Electronic Filing, License and DMV fees etc?

    Thanks, in advance, for sharing!

Sales person is Jeff Brooks, please tell him you are from Igor (this way I get $200 off next lease :)). It was me who calculated the percentage. This was my third lexus with him and he just named the number (I went over numbers with him as well). I am not sure if he is going to give you 12.5. But I would suggest to go towards the end of the month (today or tomorrow) or wait for end of the month when Golden Opportunity begins.

Whoops, I'm sorry for leaving that out. The 63%/.00048 was quoted for 36 months, 7,500. I'm also interested in what 36/10 would be. Thank you.

61% on 36/10? I just leased an F Sport last week at 62% RV for a 36/10 in SoCal, so the 63% makes sense for the 36/7,500 option.

It was moreso the 0.00048 MF that the dealer gave me, pre-MSDs that I wanted to confirm. At that rate, and a MF reduction of .0008 per MSD, I would only have to put down 6, right?

Also, I was quoted a weird MSD total of $4,536. I thought they were supposed to be multiples of 25?

No idea where that .00048 number came from. He made no mention of using any other bank other than Lexus Financial.

F-Sport models are 1% higher residual.
LFS likely has a minimum MF. Either .00001 or .00005, so you can't take it to zero.
Yes, MSDs are rounded up, so the amount should be a round number.

Not sure. He said these numbers were from the finance manager. But no worries - we got the car elsewhere with numbers that made more sense. On that note, how is the RV on longer lease terms? We originally priced out a 36/7,500 on a hybrid, but also got quotes for the same mileage, but 39, 42, 45, 48 month terms, but they had very little effect on monthly price. Can you please provide the RV for an RX 450h for:

    39/7,500
    42/7,500

    Thank you.

Hello!  What are the numbers for a 2017 RX 350 base AWD for a 10k/36 in VA.  We're looking at option 2 package which is around $56k.  We are getting quoted $699 for a 10k/48 month lease which seems rediculous.  If you do not have July numbers, can you post June?  Thanks in advance!!

We don't have the Lexus program numbers for July, so can't comment on your deal.

I can tell you, however, that $5000 up front is way too much for a lease - we recommend you only put up the first payment and DMV costs at signing. Roll all other taxes and fees into the monthly payment.

Are you still in warranty? If so, you limit the risk.

Yes. Lexus IS 4 year/50k. So I'm covered.

Still in warranty? Limit the risk?

Most bumper to bumper warranties are only good for 36 months and 36,000 miles. If you have any mechanical or other issue with the car, you'll be liable for the repair work.

That's why most leases are best limited to 36 months in duration.

And, the longer the lease term is, the more likely you'll have to replace consumable items (tires, brakes) during the lease.

I believe the numbers may have changed from last month?
