Part of that is true. LFS gives them the base money factor. It also allows them to markup the rate for extra profit. The base money factor is .00080, for term up to 48 months.

Ask the dealer for the match behind the cap cost - there may be fees included you aren't aware of.

The only tax upfront in FL is on rebates and CAP cost reductions, so the $3500 figure cannot be correct.

.00070 MF and 57% residual for 36/15.
If I add $795 dealer fee (shewww) and $500 for DMV fees, along with the acquisition fee and subtract the rebate, I get $49065 for an adjusted CAP cost.
Result is $572/mo.+tax, with just first payment due at signing.

Lexus of Pembroke pines charged me 52% residual for 39 months 15k miles. Is that right? I got the car for 1500 down and 4500 MSD for 498. They said it will be $20 more for 36 months!! But residual is 5 points higher for 36 months and the price should be cheaper right?

With the base MF of .00080, I get $588/mo.+tax, with just the first payment due at signing.
So yeah, the payment seems high, even given the parameters they've told you about.

And, even if the payment wasn't high.. . that's not much of a discount, compared to others we've seen.. Just read back a few pages.

Also, ask for the payment with just first payment and DMV/doc fees due at signing.
That makes it easier to compare, when you start shopping other dealers.
