What are MF and Residual on a Base RX350 in upstate NY 13066 (36/10K). Any incentives besides the $2K? I have a current Lexus lease and own one, can I get a loyalty rebate on top? Plus my owned Lexus is subject to Takata recall, there supposed to be extra cash for that if I get another Lexus?

I have luxury of waiting for best deal. So, better to lease a ‘17 RX and get 13-15% off MSRP but with lower residual between now and December; or
wait until April-June 2018 and lease with discount of 6-10% off MSRP but higher residual? Of course, incentives by Lexus are always an unknown at that later time, depending on market conditions.

Is the $20-$2500 lease cash back to dealer or customer? If it was cash to dealer, we wouldn't pay taxes on that cash back, right? Only if it's cash to customer we pay taxes? Just wanted to verify, as I was surprised to see taxes on the rebates. I'm in Southern California region.

Last year I negotiated around $6k off of a 2016 Honda Accord EXL, and using the info on this forum, I negotiated $10k (including $1k college grad rebate) off of a $55,499 MSRP RX350 back in August. I figured deals would get better, so I held off. I'm trying to hold off until October to see if numbers improve more. But I'm also hoping the colors I want (blue with grey interior or white with parchment) will still be available.

It is factory to dealer, but since it is being used as a discount to the price (like a rebate), the customer will owe taxes on it.

This late in the year, I would suggest moving fast if there is a particular color or option group you want.

Residuals have no where to go but down, at this point.

Lexus Cash is for purchases. The lease cash is separate, and only for leases.

Could I please get the MF and residual for a 2017 Lexus RX 450 Hybrid? I'm located in Tacoma, WA. Looking at either 36/10 or 48/10.

I also visited my local dealership today and asked them about the $499 / 36 months / $3,999 down deal but was told I'd have to put an additional $2,000~$2,500 down for dealership charges, meaning I'd have to give up $6,000~$6,5000. Is this normal? I tried to deal for a lower down payment but they weren't willing at all.

$2000 lease cash

First payment, acquisition fee, dealer fee must all be paid for. If you are not adding them to the lease payment, you'll pay them up front.

You can structure the lease any way you like, but the payment will change based on those decisions.

We suggest limiting the out of pocket to just the first payment and registration costs; you risk losing any additional up front money if the car is stolen or totaled.

Went to look at the RX yesterday and was a bit confused. I understand paying tax on the lease cash or rebates, but he was saying would owe tax on the dealer discount. I feel like I haven't noticed that before. Any truth to that?

That's a new one, for us, too.

So, if the sticker price is $50K and you negotiate it down to $45K, the dealer is saying you'd owe tax on the $5K discount?

I'd check with some other dealers on that.

i immediately questioned it and told him the same thing that i would expect the tax on rebates but not on discount. either way, i didnt want to spend much time there as RX isnt my first choice, but i wont rule it out for a good deal and gave him my whole calc starting with about 12% off msrp, so well see.
