Hello and thanks in advance for helping out a newb. I was at the dealership last night and found myself boxed in right before close and based on current lease specials at other dealerships I think I was potentially going to be fleeced and need to do more research before going to other dealerships to compare apples to apples and increase prince competition.

what is the april2017 mf  and residual for a 2017 Mazda 3 sport sedan auto in Rochester NY for 36mo/10 and 36mo/12k? What appears to be the better option currently ? Thanks again

    Michaell,
Can you help me with the numbers for the Mazda 3 Touring 2.5? The MF seems unusually low.

    MSRP $24,320, Sales Price $22,320

If I used jennifer's numbers from above:

    doc. prep 80.00
    lic/title 265.00
    tire/battery 8.75
    other fee . 29.00
    acquisition fee 595.00
    tax collected items 246.54

What would the monthly price look like? The MF seems odd to me. I was quoted an MF of .0051 by Mazda of Clearlake.

MF is marked up the max - base is .00001

Those fees and such are specific to CA - what state are you in?
I'm in Houston, TX. I'm trying to get an idea of what to expect in terms of payments because I was quoted a price of $399 for the lease. I was hoping to pay somewhere in the high 200's or low 300's. Thanks!

    Ah, Texas.

One of a handful of states where the entire selling price is subject to sales tax. Lease payments will be higher there, because of that.

And, there is likely to be a higher dealer fee than in CA.

Ask the dealer for the adjusted cap cost, with all taxes and fees added in; and, a full accounting of the monies due at signing.

    Hi there,

I am trying to get a Touring sedan 2.0 automatic 36/10k. I am in MO. My local dealer has a $1,500 incentive today plus I have $500 loyalty. With residuals for April 2017, what payment should I be looking at with $0 down? What is the MF in MO also? Thanks in advance!

    .00018 and 55%

Would need to know the MSRP and adjusted cap cost to figure the payment.

MSRP is $22,385. After loyalty, that should be $21,885. That $1500 incentive is for purchase only, turns out. Not sure about ACC... Here is the link to the exact car:

Finally pulled the trigger and got a Mazda 3 GT with Safety and Premium package
    Here are the details
    MSRP: 28,820
    Initial Cap cost: 26,819
    Acquisition Fee: 595
    Documentation Fee: 50
    Gross Cap Cost: 27,464
Cap Cost reduction/ Lease cash: 721
    Adjusted Cap cost: 26,743
    Residual (56%): 16,139.20
    Depreciation: 10,603.80
    Rent Charge: 15.12
    Base lease payment: 294.97
    Sales tax: 29.20
    Total lease payments: 324.17
    MF: .00001

I think they got me at the rent. Somehow it doesn't add up for the money factor.

    Hi,
I have been quoted the following for a Mazda 3 GT Automatic with Premium and Safety package for lease in Seattle,WA. Could you please check if the following adds up.

    MSRP: 28,520
    Selling Price: 26,166
    Lease cash: 721
    Cap Cost: 25,455
    MF: .00001
    Residual: 56%
    Down payment : 500
    Acquisition Fee: 595
    Dealer Handling: 599

    Months: 36
    Annual Mileage: 12k

    Monthly payment before tax: 350

    Thanks

    That's a hatchback, right?
    Payment seems high.

    Down payment : 500
    Acquisition Fee: 595
    Dealer Handling: 599

Are you paying all that out of pocket? Plus the $350 first payment?
Or is some of that rolled into the adjusted CAP cost?
It is a hatch. Yes, $350 is the first month's payment without tax.
    Initial CAP Cost is $25,455
    Customer Cash Down is $500
Acquisition fee and Dealer handling are rolled into adjusted CAP cost.
That only calculates to $297/mo. +tax.
Even if they bumped the money factor the maximum, it would only add about $20/mo. to the payment.
Looks like a MF bump, plus another $1000 hidden in the price.
Ask for the adjusted CAP cost.
    If it's higher than $25,455 + $595 + $599 = $26,649, then find out why.
If they aren't bumping the money factor, then you are looking for $1700 in extra charges.

  • Good afternoon. Time for an update. Can you please provide numbers for Touring 2.5, 5 door, Auto, 36 and 39 month, 18k/yr, in Connecticut. Also lease cash. Any reason to expect a significant change for next month, or is it too variable to predict?

    Thank you.

Would you provide the MF and Residual for a 2017 Sedan Grand Touring manual transmission? Located in Iowa.

Looking for numbers on 36 month 12 & 15k options.

Any incentives from Mazda? Currently leasing a 14 that's due back but haven't heard anything about the old pull-ahead program lately.

    Thank you!
