You are correct. Dealer cannot modify the residual value.

Confirm they are using Mazda Credit Services as their bank

Also, seems like the car purchase prices are going close to the MSRP minus the incentives/rebates (lease or purchase). Is that your experience and is it worth buying a low mileage 2016 to get $5-6K off? Thanks.

Yes, the incentive is subject to sales tax.

What is the adjusted cap cost, with incentives and fees factored in?

As is, your MSRP and selling price result in a payment of $258/mo with 10% tax added in.

We suggest you limit your out of pocket costs to just the first payment and DMV costs - add everything else into the lease.
