    36/10?
    .00136 and 55%
    $1500 dealer market allowance

If I add the fees to the sales price, I get $644/mo before tax using the marked up MF, and $632/mo before tax with the base MF

I would not put $3-6-9K down on a lease; the whole idea is to pay as you go, each month.

Ask the dealer what CAP cost they are using for their payment quotes.

    Hi Michaell:

Would appreciate confirmation of terms for an '18 Q5 premium plus, 7.5k miles/yr, 36, 39, and 42 months. Providence, RI 02906 (in particular, MF and any promotional dollars). I'm pretty sure residual is 56/54/52%.

Also, can you confirm the terms for Audi MSD's?

    Thank you!

    Hey Michaell,

Currently leasing a 2016 Audi Q5 with 3 payments left of a total of $1,500.

Looking into leasing a 2018 Audi Q5 Premium Plus. 36 months, 12k miles, Zip- 11357

What type of rebates and incentives do i qualify for?

Assuming zero down where should my monthly price be around?
Trying to weigh out whether i should jump into a new one now or wait until end of lease?

You advice and help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Tommy

I'll answer the last question first - wait until your current lease is up, then shop for a new car.

That $1500 has to go somewhere, and it's likely to find it's way into the new deal. Do you want to be paying those last 3 payments over the next 3 years?

    Hey Michaell,

Sorry to bother again. Sales rep called me and told me that Audi has a "Pull Ahead Program" that give dealerships incentive/rebates to offset with existing payments.

This is what he gave me last week:

2018 Audi Q5 Premium Plus / 12k miles per year
$3500 down, $549 a month, all in tax and everything

    Thoughts?

    Thanks,
    Tommy

I received the below offer in So Cal. Does this look like a good deal? I'm not sure what the benefits of the tech package are over a 2019 premium.

    2018 Q5 Tech Premium
    Price: $45,610 (after discounts)
    Price after fees: $50,630
    39 months
10k miles (would like to negotiate for more)
    $5k down
    $539 monthly payment

Also, does it make sense to ad Audi Care to this type of lease?

Appreciate the help! I'm a first time leaser.

    .00136 MF and 53% residual
    $1500 dealer market allowance

The main advantage of the Tech model is the higher residual.
Get the mileage you need. 12K/yr lowers the residual by 1%. 15K/yr by 3%.
That's not a negotiation, just tell them what you want. Of course, more miles = higher payment.

AudiCare adds 1% to the residual, effectively paying for 60% of it. Yes, it's a good deal.

Get the actual price numbers for a lease. There is no way that there are $5000 of additions to the price in CA. They've added in sales tax, which is collected on the monthly payments in CA, not added to the price.

    What is the MSRP?

    MSRP = $52,110

    MSRP = $52,110
Adjusted Price (after discount) = $45,610
Balance (after taxes and fees) = $50,630
AudiCare on this model is $869. Technically, it's negotiable, but there isn't a lot of markup, so they likely won't cut the price. It's always possible they'll try to charge more.
(54% residual if AudiCare is purchased).

$6500 off MSRP looks good, but Audi is giving the dealer an extra $1500, so in effect, the dealer is giving you $5000 off. (still good)

You really shouldn't put $5000 upfront on a lease. Just first payment and DMV fees.

    $52110 MSRP
    $45610 sale price
    $895 acquisition fee (Capped)
    $575 DMV (est) (pay upfront)
    $80 Doc fee (Capped)
    $46585 adjusted CAP
    $628/mo.+tax (if 9.5% rate) = $687/mo.
    Due at signing: $687 + $575 = $1262

    Add AudiCare?
    $869
    $47454 adjusted CAP
    $640/mo.+tax = $700/mo.
    Due at Signing = $1275

It simply masks the true cost of the lease, and you risk losing that money if the car is stolen or totaled.

Hi , I am looking for a Q5 prestige model with 36/12 in Texas - 77494 ( zip code). The MSRP is 57550 and current selling price is 54390. Don’t have any other details. Could you please help me with the monthly payment for this car. Also I want to see if I can keep my monthly not more than 650( all inclusive) with zero down. Any suggestions on how to make that happen. Should I use MSDs , will that bring this to my price point? Appreciate the guidance. Was thinking of closing in coming week OR should I wait for Feb month for better MF / RV factors. Thanks in advance

Thanks in advance

    .00136 MF and 53% residual
    $1500 dealer market allowance

With the prices given, you are well over $800/mo.
I'd start with negotiating a lower price, but that still would not likely get you under $750/mo.

At some point, Audi will stop supporting lease programs for the 2018 model. But, I can't tell you when that will be.

Occasionally, banks offer Texas sales tax credits. I think this is money they receive from the state, as credit on their lease returns. The only way for them to use the money is to offer it to new lessees, as a credit against their sales tax.

When offered, it's usually 5%, dropping the sales tax to just 1.25%. Since Texas collects sales tax on the full selling price, it's a substantial incentive.

However, I do not know if the credits are being offered now. You'd have to check with a dealer.

Hi there, I'm looking at a 2018 Q5 Premium Plus with MSRP $52,075 in California, ZIP is 90211. Cap cost is $44.087.52 with a cap reduction of $750 so net cap $43,337.52.

Quote for 39 mos. / 10k miles is $500/mo. before tax, $552.50 with tax. $2,250 down.

    AudiCare is included.

    Is this a good deal?

    $1500 dealer market allowance
    (53% residual w/AudiCare)

I get $500/mo+tax with that adjusted CAP

Seems like a pretty good deal, given the lease program.

$1500 dealer market allowance (probably part of the discount from sticker)

Using the prices provided, I get $472/mo if the tax rate is still 6.25%

Fairly close, but we would advise against using the trade equity to buy down the lease payment. Pay the first payment and RMV costs only, and have the dealer cut you a check for the balance.

    2018 Q5 Tech Premium

    MSRP $47,890
    Discount $9,000
    CAP Cost $38,890
    Sale Tax 1,791.89
    Dealer/ State fee $651
    Total Price $41,332.89
    Net Residual $26,339.50

I asked for 10k miles for 36 months with Minimum Drive off.
They asked me to put $1,500 down to get Monthly payments of $556.69
That's ridiculously high, right? Can you please tell me what went wrong here?

    .00136 MF and 54% residual
    $2250 dealer market allowance

The numbers they gave aren't all relevant for a lease.
While that might be the total sales tax number, the tax is collected monthly on the payment.
    The doc/DMV fee looks right.
They didn't mention the $895 acquisition fee

    $38990
    +895
    $39885 adjusted CAP
$479/mo.+tax (assuming 8%?) = $518/mo. (higher if tax rate is higher)
    Due at signing = 1st payment + DMV/dealer fee = $1169

If their number is way over that, then they are marking up the rate (likely), or padding the sale price they quoted (possible), or both.

Thank you. Dealer is insisting that the program is .00136 and 54%. No reason for them to mark down the residual and Audi Financial Services is no help. Suggestions? To be clear, this is a "tech premium" which may be different than the "premium plus" or "premium".
