2018 Audi S4 Lease Deals and Prices

I'm in similar situation, there is a deal negotiated with the dealer, they want me to go and sign before September, but its very far (400miles) and I can just go on Sept 1st Saturday. They threatened that the deal might not be the same as it's september and the 2500 bonus cash might not be available, also the money factor can change. They also tried to force me into a madness, that I must pay 10 MSDs, but they don't decrease the MF at all.. they only let me decrease the MF with the MSDs if I agree to $1k higher selling price. Pretty crazy isn't it? 

Anyway, could you please help me with Sept MF and cash bonus for S4 Prestige, 36/10k miles, if you have info? Priv msg if don't want to share publicly, I won't tell anyone.

From my personal experience, I wouldn’t wait for a better deal in September. My last lease I waited and lost a $1000 auto show bonus. I think if you wait till September you will lose the complementary first payment. And for those who waited on deals in July, the money factor jumped in August. It’s a gamble, but I would bet on the deal you have today rather than one that might not be there tomorrow.

szab, the two dealers that I competing both knew that I knew the MF and residual, and that I was going to do the MSD program. But I also told them that I didn't know how many I would do, or that I might not do any MSDs if the price went low enough. They both accepted that along with great discount plus incentive and MF reduction per Audi's program from the base of .001.

There was an initial third dealer that had the most S4s, and still does. The hmm'd and hawww'd and dragged around. Came back that they didn't do the MSD program, but that they might be able to match the discounted price. That is still good for me because the discount is good that even without the MSDs my monthly is still less than my BMW monthly.

If I do my deal tomorrow, the end of August, yes I will return my BMW 23 days early and make the final payment on the 1st. But, I look at it like a wash, because Audi will pay, cap cost reduction?, the 1st month.

You should tell your dealer that any security deposit you will put down is between you and Audi financial, and that each deposit will lower the MF by .00005. If they don't like it your negotiating strength comes from your willingness to politely walk away. Go in tomorrow, last day of the month, and tell what you want with the MSD on the lower negotiated price, and that if they agree you will sign. If not, then tell them "thanks" and to call you when they want to sell a car. Your call of course. I would do that.

My hesitation is that my current BMW lease is over Sept 21.
Still I don't want to miss out on the excellent discount, incentive, and 1st month payment.

One more question.
I'm not clear on how Audi applies the 1st month payment.
Does the lease apply the monthly payment as a cap cost reduction?
Does the buyer pay the state sales tax on that payment?

The complimentary first payment is an incentive from AFS that works like a cap reduction; the tax is also covered

Some dealers won’t do MSDs.  They just don’t want to spend the time calculating everything. That said, if it helps you out, this week I negotiated 13% off MSRP (before incentives) on a 2019 S4 factory order. I’m placing it as soon as pricing comes out. If you want, PM me for the info. It took a lot of research to get to that price.  Take a look through the thread and you’ll see I’ve been a pest. But if you did better than 13% off, congrats!  Then PM with your details!

However with 12-13% off MSRP and expecting similar prices and incentives in December I calculated total cost ~2k less (~20k) than this. And that's a 2019 and exactly the configuration I wanted. Only just need to wait 3.5-4 months. What do you guys think?

You need to factor in a price increase of 1% to 2% for 2019. Audi is making navigation and virtual cockpit standard on the premium plus, which will increase the price. The prestige also has more standard content. The only decrease should be the new premium trim level which will have less content. Nobody knows exactly until Audi releases pricing, which every dealer thinks will be sometime in September. As for programs, Season of Audi in November and December usually mirrors Summer of Audi in terms of rebates and the complementary first payment. Last year, the rebates were a little better in December so apples to apples your payments would be about $15 less. The wild card is the money factor, since we don’t know how much borrowing money will cost in three months. As we saw at the beginning of August, the money factors jumped on almost every Audi lease, adding $20 to $30 to most leases. So my advice is, if you have a great deal on an S4 today that has much of what you want, take it. But if you want an S4 with very specific options or colors, and you don’t want to settle for what is currently in dealer inventory, wait and order your 2019 for November/December delivery.

+1. If I were shopping in that price range (and, it's likely I never will be), I'd want to get exactly what I want.

Yeah, I expect some price increase, however, not much for the prestige, as the driver assistance features that are included in that trim (so no extra pkg) is now pretty much standard with other brands, including a $25k VW Jetta. So my assumption is that it will cost less than the 2018 Prestige + Driver Assist pkg. Either way, thank you for the advices, yes I also want to get the exact config I want. The offered model was very close, only the carbon inlays that I didn't like and it had more options than I wanted. But 1) the offer wasn't great, in fact it was bad and they were constantly lying, bait n switched etc and gave me ultamatums all the time and bullshitting which i wasn't really interested in, I was just looking to get a great (still not the best like some peeps got here on the forum) and was willing to pay price over KBB's great price (~11 off MSRP), but I insisted that the MSDs decrease MF. 2) today I was on the way down to L.A. and told the dealer I'm ready to buy today, but only if the MF is decreased by MSDs. Then the guy replies very cynically that the car is no longer available and sold.. So they finally made the choice easier to me, it's prob better this way, as I care about the improvements the 2019 brings.. and wouldn't have been comfortable making business with those liar bastards.. So I'm in the market for a 2019, I'm very excited to see their prices.. and still looking for a fair and honest dealer in CA who would be willing to make a good deal with me without all these unfair moves (like forcing me into credit application, then switch the deal and come up with this nonsense that I must pay MSDs but MF stays at .001).. thanks for all the info and help, hope I'll finally get what I want..

No bonus cash - I suspect that was an error showing both at the beginning of the month.

I just took delivery of an S4 for $725 39/12 with an MSRP of 61,150.  I paid the first payment, tag and dealer fee for $2k.  This included them taking a trade in of a car where I had negative equity of around $2k.

Thanks to the people here arming us with info... it is priceless.
