You may be able to use those deals to leverage a better one in your area, or be able to duplicate the deal at another dealer. It’s true that some regions see better discounts than others. We believe that 6% off MSRP, before incentives, is a good price. @quattromike, however, thinks you should get 12-14% off. Looks like some folks are able to get that level of discounting.

My personal experience has been offers of 12-14% off MSRP, before incentives, on existing S4 inventory here in the Chicago area.  Discounts appear to vary significantly depending on your region, due to the amount of inventory and competition amongst dealers. If you are able to shop outside your region, you have greater leverage to get a great deal either at your local dealer, or in another state. Take a read through this Edmunds forum to see offers other users have received (such as a post here from May 17), and at other forums such as Leasehackr (see post 1055 in the trophy garage https://forum.leasehackr.com/t/trophy-garage-photos/18772).  
I think you’re right that you have more room to negotiate on your deal.  Also, use the lease calculator here or on Leasehackr to run your numbers and make sure you’re getting the best lease you can. Good luck in your search.
