Audi's max markup is a head-spinning .00125, on top of the base rate.

Discounts here in Chicago area are 14% to 16% for existing inventory on S4. Same with SoCal. Hope you are able to leverage the same out east. Or fly in here and drive home.

This is exactly what my local dealer tried to do. They nearly doubled the money factor, padded the acquisition fee, and tried to use a residual of 53%. Thanks to your info, I knew the residual was 56%.  But they were adamant that the 53% residual was set by Audi, and that I didn’t know what I was talking about. As an added insult, they tacked on a $699 “appearance protection package” they alleged was applied to every vehicle arriving at port. At what point do shady dealer tactics become fraud?
I’m moving on, since I can’t trust this dealer.

It's called "swinging for the fences", and many dealers will do that with their first offer. Moving on to a different dealer is the best response.

Thank you Michaell. I gave the dealer the exact stock number for a premium plus S4 in their inventory, and we exchanged several emails about the car before they tried to pull this nonsense, so they knew what they were doing.  I know to expect shadiness from a car dealer, but this seemed extreme.

One last comment - the dealer is unable to adjust the residual value; it is fixed by the bank. So, for them to quote 53%, it's likely they gave you the 36/15 number, and didn't make the adjustment for 10K

I just got quoted $590/Month (after tax) for MSRP: $61,180. NYC. 12k/36 , $3500 for fees, and $500 down. need advice if this is a good deal.

What is the full breakdown of the $3500?

Without that information, we can only guess at how good the deal is.

Is $3500 the total amount due at signing?

Need a CAP cost of about $53500 to get to the $590/mo. payment.
With the $2000 incentive, and $3500 upfront, that looks like a pretty good deal, considering taxes and fees.

If it's more than $3500 due at signing, then it's less good...
