.00079 is the base MF for 42 months; they are marking up the MF on you. (.00059 is the base MF for leases 36 months or shorter)

Yes, the rebate is taxable.

The residuals are not that strong on Audi (or, BMW artificially inflates theirs to keep the payments low).

I love the A4 (I've rented them a couple of times), but the lease programs are just not as good as the others you've been looking at.

Thanks for your help. I was them to be fully transparent. I will insist on the adjusted cap cost tomorrow, but is the residual value really only 50 percent on this car? Also, it doesn't seem that leasing it for 42 months is doing me any good. He insisted I would get the best price that way. I'd rather lease for 36 months.

Yes.. the 42 month lease will have a lower payment. But, if you'd rather lease for 36 months, and you are comparing it to other vehicles, then don't bother with 42 months.

I told the sales person that I was not seeing a rebate in the figure. He stated he had made a mistake and the sales price of the vehicle is $39,243. All the rest is correct though. I think the monthly payment is high still.

Not sure I believe them on the sale price.
I get the same payment, using that Total CAP.

What is the amount due at signing?

I just had a dealer quote with MF .00131, .0005 higher than the buy rate of .00081, They also discounted MSRP 2000 more than anyone else so far. They evidently make it up by getting more lease on the back end.

I don't think it's a very good deal... if the $39,XXX price is after the rebate is applied, then that's a small discount and a marked up money factor.

Whenever you see a dealer trying to get under a round number, then you can guarantee that they've added all that they can to the deal, as long as they can stay under that round number.

.00059 is the base money factor for top tier. Is that the MF they gave you?
What is the $998 for "extras".
Is this for 36/15?

The $998 + $799... $1700 bucks for nothing, I'd guess.
