I'd guess that is just the selling price, not the adjusted CAP cost.

Ended up leasing a 2018 TLX 2.4 Tech, and as anyone here who has read my posts knows, obviously I like it a lot.

On my first lease statement it says my "payoff" is c.$25,500. My question may seem silly, but as someone who has never leased before here goes: So, like a loan, if you somehow are able to buy a car that's leased, you could potentially write a check or get a loan for the payoff amount? Or am I confused about what that means?

Yes, you can buy out the loan.

It varies from brand to brand, but it's generally the sum of the outstanding payments, plus the residual value. But, AFS can give you a payoff quote.

And, you can convert the lease to a traditional loan, as well.

So, the lease term is 36 months and 20,000 miles per year?

The 36/15 residual is 45%, not 47% (that is 36/12)

There is also $5500 of lease incentives available, which makes the total dealer discount of $6552.70 kind of small. I'd push for a bigger discount from sticker.

Ask the dealer for the true residual amount used in their payment quote - there should be a per-mile adjustment for the extra miles you've requested.

Until we can unravel some of these questions, I think the payment is too high.

You won't see them publicized, as they are a factory to dealer incentive. Use the knowledge to negotiate your best price.

Tried posting a comment with a picture, so apologies if both comments show and they are duplicative.

The dealer is applying the trade-in against the discounted price (after they took the $10k off).

36 month term, 15k miles/year

Dealer is asking for $324 at signing.

Based on calculations I did with a deal they had on the website for the exact car for $2k cheaper ($38,844 MSRP), the cost/month should actually be closer to $285 instead of $324, so I may counter and see if the dealer can do that. Even still, assuming $10,000 off of $38,844 (putting me to $28,844) that's only $1600 or so of discount from the dealer vs. the Acura incentive ($6375). My calculations account for the revised tax amount, depreciation amount, adjusted cap cost, etc.

I feel like this was a solid deal. They told me they really really wanted to get their remaining 2018s off the lot. They had 3 A-Specs left, including mine.

Also did everything by email and phone. Dealership was a dream to deal with.

I started receiving offers this week. This is latest one I have received. Would love to have your thoughts on it. It looks like it is a "demo" 2018 TLX (2.4 Base) with 2,510 on the Odo. Any help/advise would be greatly appreciated.

Yes.. the fees all look normal.
Of course, lease taxes are high in MD.
The base model should have a residual of 50% for 36/10

I'm not sure how Acura deals with demo/loaners. But, yes, the price should be less than for a new car.
Doesn't look like they actually did the adjustment for the existing mileage and used the wrong residual. Of course, this isn't a complete quote, anyway.

I get $418/mo.+tax, assuming all other fees and charges, along with first payment are paid at signing.

[edit] Since I'm completely new at this, can anyone confirm my negotiating logic? If the lease incentive is $4K and the invoice price of the vehicle is $36K then a reasonable offer would be $32K because the dealer gets the $4K back from the manufacturer, so that the dealer is really selling the car at invoice.
