.00168/.00169 MF for 2.0/3.0 model. 61% residual for either
Use the Make/Model/Year tabs at the top of the page for Edmunds price tools
We are looking at an X5 vs a Q7 and wanted to confirm the numbers for Audi (got the numbers for the X5, so thank you!). Looking at Premium + or Prestige (both 3.0T) in Washington State for 36/10. Noticed on a dealer site that there is a loyalty rebate of $500 or $1000 for current Audi owners (which we are). Can you confirm? Thank you!

I wonder if someone could help me understand something on this deal, which I think I managed to calculate but I'll still share it with you guys.
MSRP $71,000 SELLING $64500 DOWN: $904.97 1st payment $600 Misc Fees Total $1500 FLAT out of pocket $904.97 per month.
This is an out of state dealer.
I believe there are some additional costs that are built into the final cost. He is a nice dealer so I am not trying to make him feel too uncomfortable but I am trying to reverse calculate exactly what percentage deal I am getting. If I compare this to a local dealer in NY:
MSRP $70,000 SELLING $65,000 $907.07 1st payment $895.00 Bank Fee $65 Plate Transfer $10 Inspection $12.50 Tire Fee $79.43 Tax on Bank Fee $81.65 (I believe this is dealer doc fee) $2050.66 TOTAL Out of Pocket $907.07 per month. With 1st one I am getting a lot more
So with 1st one above, I am getting the car with 9% and 2nd one 7%, but I think there are some charges on 1st one that bumps up my payment because under normal 9% with everything down I should be at $865.27/mo with Bank Fee, 1st Payment and DMV paid upfront. And if I build only the Bank Fee $895, I should be at $894.46. So there is $355 difference which I am paying additional, right? Almost about $1250 added to cap cost (incl. Bank Fee), which gives me $905/mo.
If I paid him $1950 instead of $1500, my monthly payment should be about $891.

Why not ask the dealers for the adjusted cap cost, instead of trying to guess what it is.
And, we suggest you limit out of pocket to just the first payment and DMV costs - tell each dealer to give you a quote with only $1000 out of pocket, then compare them.

Other state is NJ. But isn't the taxes calculated based on where the car will be registered? Also as long as they don't charge tax on the MSRP, the tax difference between monthly payment and total payment should not be too much, right? Unless MF is high?
I will ask for Adjusted cap before I agree to go and sign, so I have all my details in writing. They are giving a good discount, better than others, but I believe there is a cost for that discount which goes towards down payment, possibly high doc fee, which I understand other states (like NJ, PA, etc) does not have any laws against marking up doc fee, unlike NY.

Correct - NJ doc fees run $300-500, whereas they are capped at $75 in NY.
Look at the total cost of the deal before deciding which state in which to make your transaction.

Without knowing the adjusted cap cost, we can't calculate a payment.

Here is what dealership told me for adjusted cap cost. $53,940
Michaell, let me if this is something I can close the deal on?
I agree with the math, and 7% off MSRP is a decent discount.
My only suggestion would be to restructure the deal with only first payment and registration costs due up front - add the taxes and fees to the net cap cost.

Also when I asked the dealer, they said MF is decided by Audi, not by them. Is it true?
Ha! The base rate is set by Audi; the decision to mark it up is entirely at the dealers' discretion.
With your prices (but excluding the $4K up front), I get $1000/mo with 6.25% tax using the .00225MF, and $960/mo with the base .00189MF. That's almost $1700 over the lease term.
Is ~8.5% off the MSRP considered a good offer? It's a 3.0 Premium Plus version.
Does Audi usually provide better sales or offer in Nov and Dec? Currently the manufacturer rebate is $1000 for the loyalty. Can you advise if I should wait till end of the year for better numbers?
Hi, new to this but looking for some numbers to help find a good deal.
Premium+ 3.0 with ventilation package 36 mo/12k msrp $62,025 + audi care + current Audi owner Los Angeles
Planned to put $5000 down but saw in an earlier post that you don't recommend putting more than the 1st months payment and DMV down. If I read that right I'm curious why.

8.5% off seems good... but, if it's paired with a money factor increase and garbage fees, it might not be. You need the whole picture.
No guesses on what might happen in the future, but the very end of the year seems to be a good time to car shop.

.00169 MF and 59% residual Add 1% for AudiCare $1000 loyalty for current AFS customers/$500 loyalty for other Audi owners
If something happens to end the lease early (theft/accident), any shortfall in the payoff is covered by GAP insurance. If you put $5000 upfront, that money is at risk, as GAP won't help to make you whole.

I need my monthly payment to equal $600 hence the large initial payment (I'm aware it's subject to loss).
Thanks very much.
If you have a $600/mo budget, perhaps you should find a less expensive vehicle to start with.
Audi's are not terribly lease friendly.
