Thanks so much. It was great to go in informed and that is what the dealer gave me. Love the 7.75% CT "Luxury Tax" if it's over $50k. Got 2% off the MSRP.
Went with 10k as it raised residual 3% and if I drive the extra 2k miles it will cost less to buy them after!

looks ok to me...just got mine but prestige with those terms. May want to tell them to send the invoice over to you and make sure there’s no funny business happening. 6% should be invoice. Ask for $500 in credits cause they have $500 wiggle below invoice...car washes, floor mats, etc.

I have the actual sticker from the car. So the numbers are based on that. My real question is when I use a lease calculator with all of those figures I get a monthly rate of $680 Why do I get that vs the $727 from the dealer?

The actual sticker is $60,585, less the 6% gets me to approx. $57K

Welcome to America! Taxes...divide 727 by 680 and subtract 1...6.875% tax rate. Websites don’t give you the payment with taxes because everyone is getting quotes from different states and taxation on vehicles is different in some places.
also FYI plan to add $2600 to price on extra maintanence packages that you’ll add in the finance office.

The Calculator I used was on Leasehackr and they have me factor in the 7% NJ Sales tax. my guy pretty reputable the number he gives will be the number. Also picking up my last 3 months on my A6 ($650 per month). Is this a no brainer or I can beat them down a little?

Doesn’t matter what your “guy” says, you’ll have to get maintenance packages which are not a part of the purchase of the vehicle, cause the car costs a lot to replace parts from wear and tear/usage since it’s an SQ5 not a Q5. Ask to speak with finance office about options. You’ll see. I’m just giving you fair-warning.
Also picking up your last three months is nothing special...especially if it’s an Audi. That’s not costing him anything. I would squeeze and make as much juice as possible. You’re spending the money, not him.

No, AudiCare covers all your maintenance. It's a good deal, as it bumps the residual up 1%.

NJ taxes the sum of the payments, and collects the money up front. If you aren't paying the taxes as part of your drive off costs, they are being added back into the cap cost, and are subject to interest. That might account for some of the difference in the payment from your on-line calculator and the dealer.

Might I suggest you build your own lease calculator? That way, you are in control of all the variables, and not subject to the assumptions of something you use on-line.

Assume this I should jump all over this one?

Would paying the acquisition fee up front do anything to help me lower the costs additionally?

I was actually just told they are using the acquisition fee in part of my inception fees already. So wondering if there is anything else I can or should do upfront to lower costs? Based on all I have seen on this thread and through research, the offer I was just given is really good. Let me know if I am missing anything. Really looking forward to getting this car!

maintenance yes just Audicare, but you’ll probably buy some lease protection plans in the finance office. (I generalized as ‘maintenance’). Most people don’t plan that into their payments. My extras were $2600. Look up protection plans through AFS. If you finance this (recommended) then you payment goes up.

8% off sticker for a 2018 is a very strong discount. Not likely to be matched, not least in the middle of the month.

Find a dealer after Thanksgiving and you might beat it, but a bird in the hand ....

Agree with Michaell, and I’m still recommending you ask to see the invoice. 8% is below invoice, so I’m wondering where they are making money besides moving units, the small AFS fee they receive, and any other backend $$

Frankly, I don't worry about whether the dealer is making money on the deal; I'm sure there are lots of secret programs that exist between Audi and the dealer.

The dealer wouldn't make the offer if they were truly losing money on the transaction.

And, the "invoice" may have no relationship to what the dealer actually paid for the car.

Just try to negotiate the best price you can and that you're comfortable with.

Agree Michael. Question I have is what is the concern "deal" has? Is it a bait and switch concern or something else I should be on lookout for? I have a relationship with the owner of the dealership, so my guess is they are doing me a favor by offering this discount.

At some point, you are going to have to trust them, or you will never get a deal done.

Just review the numbers carefully, and ask questions when you don't understand something. Remember, you have the ultimate power here, by getting up and walking away.

Hey There. I'm about to pull the trigger on a 2018 SQ5 premium plus. I see from other posts that the MF number might different by state. Here is what I have from the dealer so far:

Oregon (zip 97068)
MSRP: $65,025
Savings: $3902.00 (about 6%)
Rebate: $1450.00
Fees/Doc: $423.00
Term: 36mo / 10k mi/yr
64% on the residual
$693.00 trade-in balance (final payment on previous lease)***
Amount financed: $60,789.00 (45 days to first payment)
The payment they quoted was $776.89
***they aren't offering anything beyond the residual ($38k) for my 2015 SQ5 premium plus with (29k mi)

Does anything look off from the above?
It seems that the MF is high at around .0025.
Should I ask for AudiCare? If so, should that bump the residual by 1%?

The money factor and residual are national.
$720/mo. with base MF
$788/mo. with .0025 MF
AudiCare is $869. Add that to your CAP cost and with the residual bump, the payment goes up by about $10/mo. which is cheap for what you get.

With your prices, I get $818/mo plus tax.

If they give you a check for the last three payments, you'll still be on the hook for any end of lease charges (damage, mileage, etc.). Just food for thought.

What does the $1200 due at signing cover?
