hey @michaell does the 4800 lease cash include the 1500 vpp or not?

We don't have any VPP incentive info; $4800 is the dealer lease incentive
    ok, then he needs a lower cap cost. Discount + 4800 + 1500 >> (52840 - 44000)
tell Ray you need another 1500 off this deal

i believe residual for 36/12 and 39/12 are the same; that's why the Mod quoted you 39/12

    Hi All,

I'm getting quoted $482/month on Q50 for 12k/36 month lease in 07054, zero down. The specs are: Iridium Blue, AWD, 3.0T, paddle shifters, sun/moon roof, lane departure.

Regardless of what MSRP was used, whats the opinion on this deal?

    Thanks

Can't give you an opinion unless you provide us with the MSRP and adjusted CAP costs the dealer used to give you their price quote.
$0 down or $0 due at signing? These aren't the same thing.
MSRP $52840 and Cap cost around $44K.
    .00003 and 47%
    $4800 lease cash
With the prices provided, I get $493/mo for 39/12
This is for 36 months, not 39.
You shouldn't lease this vehicle for 36 months. 39 months has the same residual

You have the same depreciation and rent charge, but 3 less payments in which to cover it.

Simple example - if the total of the depreciation and rent charge is $25,000 (made up number), the 36 month payment would be $694; the same $25,000 over 39 months would be $641

I know which payment I'd rather have.

Ok i just confirmed. It is a 39 month lease not 36 month as I thought earlier.
In the light of this new info, it is a good deal?

you need to know the discount from msrp so you can decide if this is a good deal. i think you can get more off; remember the lease cash (4800) and the VPP (1500) do not come from the dealer...

The cost for the extra mileage is not negotiable.

Given the hit to the residual for those miles, the payment seems reasonable.

I rarely disagree with the Mods on here but i don't see how we can say it is reasonable without knowing all the details of what is baked into that quote. You can easily get another 1500-2000 off msrp; remember that the lease cash is 5400 on the RS. Current discount from msrp is pitiful.

Since we mods don't track pricing, we can only evaluate the deal based on the numbers provided. Relative to MSRP, and knowing the hit to the residual for the extra miles, I stand by my comment.

And, I said "reasonable", not "great".

Well, here's the full story, and my apologies for leaving our important info.
Greatly appreciate the opinions and advice.
*How can I make it 'great' ?*

    Payment- 633.99

does discount include the 5400 lease cash?
tax of 165 can't be right
doc fee is optional in OH (state sets maximum of 250)

IMO, still far away from a great deal (using similar LH deals on lower end models)
Note that Q50 starts at 42k; you are after the top-of-line trim at almost 61k!

Are you shopping more than one dealer?

using 14% discount from msrp before lease cash, i would offer 950 driveoff and 38 additional payments of 599

Hello! I am new to this forum so please advise if posting protocol is wrong.

    Located in 87111.

So here are two deals I was presented with:

    2018 Q50 3.0T Luxe - essential, proassist, sensory

    MSRP 50750
    Discount 9100
    Total Purchase 41650
    Doc Fee 289.50
Advanced Payment (first monthly) - $443.51
    "Up front charges": 160.94
    Total cap reduction: $1,395.55

    Money Factor .00003
    Residual Value 24,867.50

    39mo @ 12k
Total due on deliver - $1000
    Payment- 443.51

    2018 Q50 3.0T Luxe - essential, proassist, sensory, proactive

    MSRP 53850
    Discount 9283
    Total Purchase 44567.00
    Doc Fee 289.50
Advanced Payment (first monthly) - $443.51
    "Up front charges": 160.94
    Total cap reduction: $1,395.55

    Money Factor .00003
    Residual Value 26386.50

    39mo @ 12k
Total due on deliver - $1000
    Payment- 519.73

On the 2nd unit, the discount is not nearly as high as a percentage of MSRP. That makes sense, as a big portion of the discount is an incentive that is the same for both units.

While the first deal is really good, in comparison to MSRP, the 2nd one is not as good.. You are really paying a lot for those extra options.

One note: On the second deal the advanced payment will be greater, and the CAP reduction will be less than the first deal. That's reflected in the payment, even though you have the wrong amounts.

Ah yes, I forgot to change the numbers. In your opinion, what would make the second deal great? I did really want those extra options.

if you are looking for all those options, why aren't you looking at the Sport model? i believe lease cash is 4800 vs 3300 for the Luxe.

    i assume no VPP?

if you are stuck on option 2, then you need another 2% discount from msrp.

No sir, I don't qualify for VPP. I prefer a sport, none in stock. I am in ABQ and there is literally only one Infiniti dealer in the state.

Sport won't help any. The extra $1000 incentive is offset by a 2% lower residual, so it's a wash.

Even with those numbers, the spread on payment should just be $36/mo.+tax.
So, more like $40/mo, not the $76/mo. difference they are quoting.. I'd ask them to explain that.

Hello, looking for MF and RV on 2018 Q50 3.0t Luxe AWD with Essential Package in zip 53711.

    ****
For the above config, have a dealer offer for $309/month with $1999 down + tax/title/license/fees. Is this a good value?

Hi Michaell, wow, what an awesome job you do here. Thank you.

I've got myself in a bit of mileage trouble on my 2015 Infiniti Q50 lease, and need help to nail down new Q50 pricing. I'd like help on 2018 Q50 Luxe AWD.

I am over by approx 38,000 miles x .25¢/mi = $9,500. My local dealer is willing to wrap that extra amount into the new lease (basically selling me the car as if I bought it at MSRP). I am going to lease again (not driving as much now).

I just received Infiniti letter offering $2000 in Owner Loyalty Cash to apply to new Infiniti. Got perfect credit history with them for 8 years (4 Infiniti's).

I don't know what "lease cash" is, nor do I understand the acronym "VPP", if you can shed some light on what those mean?

I've used Consumer Reports pricing, the Luxe AWD from three dealerships is approx $34k-$35k after all discounting (internet pricing).

    Zip Code: 92009
    New lease @ 12k miles
    Need to know Residual? ________
Need to know Lease Rate Factor? ________
What should my payment be approx? ________

    Thank you kindly.

What lease term and how many miles per year?

The $1999 down equates to about $50/mo, so the true cost is $359/mo. Still a decent deal, but, as noted, a lot of stuff is excluded from that payment.

First, why do you need AWD in San Diego?

.00003 and 49% for 39/12; $3800 lease cash (factory to dealer incentive you can use to negotiate a lower selling price, likely part of the quotes you are seeing already).

VPP is an Infiniti program for partners and such. Allows special pricing.

For 39 months, that $9500 in mileage charge will add almost $250/mo to whatever the calculated lease payment is. Unfortunately, no real way around it, but it doesn't hurt to contact several dealers and see what can be done. At least SoCal has a bunch of dealers to choose from.

Have you considered buying your current car? I realize that you may be over the mileage limit for the B2B warranty but the Q50 has been reliable. Seems crazy to roll 9500 into a new lease.

Hello! Can I have the RV on 2018 Q50 3.0t Luxe? TX 75201 lease term 39/18k

Also have this deal in hand. Any advices are appreciated!!
    MSRP $40,145(including $995 destination fee)
    18k/year, 39months,
    $0 down, $420/month, MF 0.0003

Another concern is the mileage limits. I drive around 20k/year. They told me that they have a loyalty program that allows me to return the car 5 months earlier before the lease end. So actually it will be 58.5k in 34 months, close to 20k/year. Is this too good to be true? I know nothing about those loyalty programs.

    Thanks in advance!!

No way of knowing what the programs will be, three years from now. I certainly wouldn't count on that. I also wouldn't contract for less miles than I need. There is a very good chance you'll get stuck with a large bill at lease end.

Agree with the Mod this time:

for an 18k miles per year lease in Texas, it is a good deal. Were you able to get a reduced tax rate instead of paying tax on the purchase price (which you never specified)?

make sure the contract specifies 18k miles per year or 58500 miles total for 39 months!

    Michaell,

Haha, you'd think I was driving in snow & rain, rather than sunny hot blacktop. I just happen to like the performance of AWD.

The dealer is willing to wrap the $9500 INTO the lease at the same lease rate. i.e. As if I'm leasing at FULL MSRP. So instead of the car being discounted $9-$10k, it wouldn't be discounted. I asked them to do this as part of the deal. Here's where I'm confused... at 49% residual, in essence it'd be costing me about $125/mo, instead of $250 because I'd only be paying for half of it, right?? See my Side by Side comparison lease calculator below, the only thing different is $10k in vehicle pricing. Can't wrap my head around how that $10k is added to the total lease cost??

Regarding the $3800 in lease cash you mentioned. When I use internet pricing tools that generate quotes from three dealerships in my area, is the $3800 already part of the discount they are offering me? Or can up to $3800 be applied on top of their quoted discount? Example:

If there is still $3800 for them to play with, then I can surely be a little harder on them. :)
