    Thanks for your help!

Also, is there a $895 credit acquisition fee? Does that apply to both finance and lease?

Finally, does Pennsylvania charge tax on the entire ca price? This seems to affect the lease calculations shown on Edmunds.

The acquisition fee is only charged for a lease.

PA taxes the monthly payment, but there is a 3% surcharge for leases - effective tax rate is either 9% or 10%

  • Thank you

Why is it recommended not to do any down payment with lease?
  • If something happens to your car which considers it totaled or it gets stolen, you can walk away from the lease. If you have sunk the money down into the vehicle then you cannot recover it. Pay down the MF using deposits if you want to tie up money into the lease and drops payments. However, you can get the cash deposits refunded if either situation above plays out.

  • Also dealer is stating the following for residual...any feedback?

    36m/10k: 64% residual
    36m/12l: 63% residual

Also dealer is stating the following for residual...any feedback?

    36m/10k: 64% residual
    36m/12l: 63% residual

For an S5 Sportback Premium Plus, those residuals are correct.
Dealers aren't permitted to alter the residual.

  • S5 Sportback - need residuals for S.C. on the following:
    36/10
    36/7.5

Also, dealer is quoting .00180 MF (did it go up in Oct?) Wasn’t it .00175?

Finally, when I leased my last S4, I was able to prepay Maint/Service and the residual
went up making it almost a no brainer. Is that stilll an option?

I told them the only money I was willing to put down was the tax, tag, and title but assume they include the first month’s payment in the 1757 number and maybe an acquisition fee as our sales tax in SC is capped. This is supposed to be for a 7500/yr lease but I calculated a payment of $684.60 on a $10k lease based on this deal. Wanted your thoughts before I challenge their numbers.

    .00180 is the correct MF

    What trim level S5 SB?

Yes, AudiCare is still available, and it still bumps the residual 1%

I don't see a reference to the acquisition fee on that paperwork, nor any breakdown of the $1757 - for all we know, there could be an 'monthly orthodontist payment fee' buried in there somewhere.

  • This was the response about the 1757: That is first payment, tax, tag and dealer fee
I will get the breakdown on that but help me validate the deal based on the other in the meantime.  The S5 is just the P+ std with radio option and a few other small opt.

    .00180 MF and 64% residual for 36/7.5K/yr
Do you know what "IMF $500" is for?

So, let's assume all the fees on that list are included in your $1757.
That makes your adjusted CAP cost $54,642 + $895 acquisition fee = $55,537
    $683/mo.

I'd guess, besides the $899 in fees that they list, that they are also marking up the money factor by a massive amount. Probably up to .00280.

  • Sorry, the imf is to transfer the vehicle from another dealer. All the fees listed are NOT included in the 1737. They are part of the purchase cost.

You posted earlier that 64% residual was for 10k miles. I could not find a post for 7.5k miles. They are supposedly quoting 7.5k miles. What is the residual for that? And based on that, what do you show the payment should be?

If 64% is for 10k miles, what is 7.5k miles?

  • Can you please provide the October numbers for NY.
    2018 S5 Sportback.
Premium Plus 36/10k - MSRP: $61,280 or $66,880 (looking at two different vehicles with different options).
Prestige 36/10k - MSRP: $65,825 or $63,175 (again, looking at two different vehicles with different options).
All vehicles are on the dealership's lot so I am hoping to get a good lease deal.

    Thank you.

Thanks! I'm looking at a Prestige for 36 mos and 7.5k or 10k miles. Does 39 mos. offer a better rate/deal?

    Subtract 2% for Prestige
    Add 4% or 3% for 7.5K/10K/yr.

39 months is a wash on price.

  • I am in SOCAL, looking to order S5 sb P+ for either ED or US delivery
36/7.5, what is the RV and MF im looking at?

Im currently leasing BMW M4 and the deal was pretty awesome, can i aim for the s5 sb with $59.9 MSRP for less than $700 after 9.5% tax?

    .00180 MF and 64% residual

    Probably closer to $800/mo.
    The SportBack is pretty popular.

I’m in SoCal garlicbun, and I would note this:
9.75% tax, 64% resi (add 1 point for Audi care), and .00180 is good financing numbers. Invoice will be around 5-5.8% off sticker. Hustle and you can do invoice since dealers are trying to move unit for EOY (I can confirm this). I bet you could get close to $800 if not slightly below. There may be incentives this month. Low supply, so you may not get the car speced out like you want.

  • Can you please post the MF and Residual for S5 Sportback - PP for 36/12 in Northern California. Also, are there better deals in SoCal versus NorCal?
