And, on top of that, they are marking up your rate the maximum allowed (.00217).

To make this a reasonable deal, you need 22%-25% off MSRP.
That would be a selling price of $63,500-$66,000 vs. the $70K sale price in your offer.

With a sale price of $65,000 and the base MF of .00177, your payment would drop to around $1000/mo.
And, that would be a reasonable deal.

As it stands, they are trying to hit a home run.

Thanks @kyfdx for the great feedback. Can you share how residual is calculated for loans/vehicles with over 5k miles - that leads to 9% lower for 9513 miles + reduction of $.30 per mile for every mile over 500?

Also - are you saying the dealer has no room to provide a higher residual on this vehicle and has to go with 46.8%?

From the numbers does it appear they are adding $2012 to the lease from my trade-in - instead of using it as a reduction given I own the vehicle free and clear?

For 7500+ miles, it's minus 9%. We see $0.25/mi. reduction, in addition, but I guess that number could be higher on higher priced models. Correct, the dealer has to use that residual.

Don't try to follow the numbers in the left hand column in a linear fashion. Add up the amounts to be added, then subtract the $2012, and you'll see the NET CAP is correct.

It seems like a demo and has 4156 miles. So I am assuming the residual will hold and I can still get the lease cash plus loyalty as I am a current BMWFS customer.

It depends on the rest of the deal, but it usually takes 12%-15% off MSRP to get a solid deal on a loaner.

18 BMW X5 xDrive35i (loaner 1050 miles) - register new - zip 66062 - 10/12k 36mo MF/residual. I've seen a number of posts that look like 17% off MSRP is a potential. Is this the case? Does lease cash lower the selling price or the total lease amount? Dealer says yes MF markup is corporate policy and can't do anything about it. I understand BMW allows markup but is it common to say corp policy?

It's common for dealers to say whatever they can get away with.

Tell them your corporate policy is to insist on the base MF, and there are lots of dealers you can negotiate with to get what you want.

For demos and loaners, 17% should be achievable.

What ZIP code?

MSD (Multiple Security Deposits) are used to buy down the MF used for a lease payment. Highly recommended, as you get that up front money back at the end of the lease.

77008 sorry about that. I can’t find a 2018 x5 xdrive50i anywhere though so I may have missed the boat on it. I will need to look at the s/x drive 35i instead
