I'm cross shopping the Merc GLE 550e - I've bought BMWs before but never an MB so I'm unfamiliar with their typical discounts and lease terms. Both vehicles price out at similar MSRPs (71k-72k). When all is said and done, assuming I do a good job negotiating all terms, should I expect the MB lease to be close to the bimmer?

But, the residual is 10% lower than the BMW, with a similar money factor. Those incentives/discounts would have to be massive for the Mercedes to be competitive.

Thanks, that's what I feared/expected. Based on some quick scans of MB forum posts it seems people get ~10+% off MSRP, I doubt that's enough to overcome the residual.

Didn’t, get the exact selling price, but based on payment I would say 65000. I think I can do better, especially with almost 4K in incentives. I am also coming out of another lease so rolling over my msds.

The numbers look about right for the base money factor.
$5000 is the total Due at Signing, right?

There might have been another $1000-$1500 less you could have done on price, but it's a decent deal.

Yes $5,000 was due at signing.  I also forgot to mention,  this included taking in my old lease with about 4 months payments left at $490 a month,  total $1960. Thanks so much for your response!

The acquisition fee comes from the bank, not the dealer, and it's fixed at $925

It's a bank fee, added on to your negotiated price. Not part of your calculations for a target price.

MF is marked up.

If I subtract the $3527 from the selling price, I am within $1 of the dealer quote. The MF markup is costing you over $40/mo on the payment.

Politely tell them you won't sign a deal with an inflated MF.

In addition, we suggest you only pay the first payment and RMV costs at signing. Keep the rest of your cash in your pocket, and use it to offset the higher payment. If it's trade equity, have the dealer cut you a check.
