Moving up to a touring from my 2012 EX-L has been a learning experience but all in all I really like my new ride. Within my first `1000 miles I was able to get 35 mpg in combined driving so I'm very pleased. The only way they could make it better is if it could mow my lawn LOL
Dealers that say, "bring us any deal and we'll beat it" are just preying on your insecurities. If they had really good deals, they would just offer them.
Are you going to hire a lawyer over a deal that was never actually offered?
The BBB is not the government. They are an advocate for business (who monetarily support their organization).
Concentrate on buying a car. You've lost sight of your goal.

I’m seriously going to be set on buying a car today
My needs are simple, 2018 Accord, base model
Whats a good ballpark OTD (w/ taxes, reg, etc) price to shoot for ?
I’m located in Los Angeles, CA area
help! Thanks
that's 2000 under invoice + 9.5% tax + 370 (fees)
California and all you need is consent of one party. my boyfriend consented. I also believe this is a considered a public place and there was fraud happening.
You are right. I don't care that they aren't meeting my numbers but more so the tactitc.
Whats a good target price for a Sport 1.5? I’m in Tampa area of Florida.
$35,800 is the price for the Hybrid Touring, not the 2.0T.
I will post details later in the A4 forum but my payments are $411/month (includes MA taxes and Audicare) with $2500 due at signing (covering first payment, fees and about $900 in cap reduction). The lease is for 3 years/10k miles per year.
Thanks @brian125, @1sebringnow and all the folks that helped me along the way.
Enjoy the car! After driving Audis for almost 20 years (most recently an A6), I just bought an Accord Hybrid Touring. Audi is an amazing brand and the new A4s are very well executed. My dad, who are long-time Acura driver, just made the switch to an A4 (IMHO, Acura is priced too close to the other luxury brands but a step behind).
From my vantage point, the Accord is one of the best values on the market right now. Sure, there are noticeable differences in the finishes throughout -- Audi gets the details right -- but the Accord Touring has far better tech overall than my 2016 A6. In fact, while people rave about the Audi infotainment system, I think the current Honda system is more intuitive than the Audi. And the rear seat space in the Accord easily beats the current A4 and gets a slight edge over my 2016 A6 as well. The hybrid option and pricing pushed it over-the-top for me. A comparable hybrid on a luxury brand would have cost me AT LEAST $20,000 more.

You are correct about trunk space and back seat space in the A4. Since my wife has a minivan (2017 Chrysler Pacifica), I am not worried about hauling stuff in my A4. I really tried hard to fall in love with the exterior design of the 2018 Accord, but I could not fake it. I hope the next gen Accord does not have a similar design.
Side note, my local VW dealer just emailed to inform that they are getting trained on the Arteon at the end of August. So it looks like it will be available in dealerships sometime in September. Oh well. Maybe in 3 years, when my lease is up, I would see what deals can be had on a VW.
Invoice: 24,524
Dealer Fees: 442
Dealer Accessories: 697
Taxes/Reg: $558
Total: 26,221
But since they're competing against what they know we wanted to spend (23,300 on a used sport), they offered the "rock bottom" price of $25,000 OTD. (No itemization of where this $1221 was coming off.)
I’m in Connecticut and can’t get close to $2,000 off invoice here, but NJ and MA seem to be a little better. Will keep trying and see what tomorrow brings, or just wait until the end of August.
If u ready to buy call Dch Academy's Internet mgr. Christine speak to her Directly for the sale today . If she is not avail leave your # for a call back . while waiting call every Ct dealers internet mgr tell all your going to NJ academy Honda to buy from them tomm unless a local dealer will match or beat there price.
This is how you negotiate and months end pitting one dealer against the next for that sale.

I am about to pull the trigger but I am not sure if this is the best deal I could get for this car. What do you think? I am located in Green Bay, WI.
In our situation, we can probably afford to wait. Our gamble is our 2007 Accord is at 192,000 miles, and things are starting to need to be replaced. If we spend another $500 to fix whatever may fail in the meantime, we don't save anything by waiting to buy a car. If everything holds out just fine, it may be worth it to wait until the 2019 models come out. That is our dilemma.
invoice 24484
TRUE sell price = 24300 + 199 (service fee, ie, doc fee) = 24499 ($15 over invoice)
290 may not be reasonable; expect a counter at 300
Model Year: 2018
Date Purchased: July 30, 2018
Engine: 1.5T
Trim: EX
Transmission: CVT
Price before TTL: $24,995
OTD: $27,380
Miscellaneous: free wheel locks
Trade In: No
Location: Orange County, California
Finally I pulled the trigger today on my new Accord EX in Silver with gray interior. It was not easy pitting couple of dealers against each other combined with last two days of the month but I managed to get this deal on a car with 1 mile with a vin number of 211xxx ( thanks for the tip on the vin and manufacturing date).
Sale price- $24,026 ( including dest) which is about $2K below invoice.
Doc Fee- $175.94
Govt Fees- $145
Tax- $1749 (7.25% tax rate)
Minus trade in of $300 ( 2001 Accord with 205K miles).
Total OTD of $25,796.
Thanks Bluemkn57cars, Brian125, tonyg2016 and all other who contributed to this amazing forum.
Thanks and good luck for all who are still shopping, I'm located in IL and the dealership is North City Honda.
I've gotten a few offers from Ganley, Motorcars, and Greatlakes. All are coming to mid to high 27's OTD.

I got that from GL. Was hoping to get closer to 26 or so like someone did yesterday on here, but it's looking tough. I haven't made my own offer yet though.
MSRP: 24460 Including Dest)
Dealer Accessories: $1,389 [$299 (Tint), $595 (Safety+Protection; Paint & Fabric), $495 (Protection Package; Splash guards, Trunk Tray, Wheel locks)]

where does the 23200 come in? if that is what you paid instead of 27649, then well done.

If you have not yet bought the car, I would do my homework (research pricing, etc) the first half of the month and use the third week to start negotiating with dealers who provided you with pricing. If no dealer has offered you pricing via phone or email, I would walk into my local dealer and ask them for their best offer (after doing your research).
Buying a car should not be this stressful, but at the same time, do not wait the last week or last two days of the month to start doing research or comparing pricing among dealerships.
Good luck and please post any update.
My $0.02.
Dealers who claim they can beat any other written offer by $XXX are just pulling your tail (I know from experience). If a dealer is honest and not playing games, they will offer you their best deal. Sure, some dealers would either negotiate pricing or give you a no-haggle price. Although deals can be had the last days of the month/quarter, do not always expect to get the best deal if you have not done your homework.
Good luck.
Do we have new numbers for August?
I am looking for EX 24/36 month, lowest mileage, NY/NJ
RV, MF, incentives?
Thanks.
The previous program is scheduled to run through September 4th
