"One only at this price" - very common advertising tactic with SoCal dealers.

Quite a DEAL! Way to lowball.

BTW, did Honda cheap out and put Korean tires on the LX model (Hankook)?
I saw them on a 2018 LX here in ohio and i just shook my head. Sometimes the West Coast Accords come from Japan so yours may have a better tire.

Two local dealers each have the 2.0 accord (in transit )I’m looking to buy. They both offer full msrp and won’t budge ...by when do you guys think they’ll start to get closer to invoice? Thanks
  • archie83archie83 Member Posts: 3
I’m shopping around for a 2.0T Sport in Louisville, best offer so far is $29,700 (31,500 out the door w 6% tax). Sales Manager claimed they’d only make about $500 on this deal (IDK invoice to confirm this).

You guys think this is fair price?

i know i am in the minority but why pay top dollar for a new, unproven powertrain? wait a few months when pricing will be better. There are several alternatives with rich incentives IF you need a car today...

    however
msrp is about 31.2k? i think it will be tough to get close to 2000 below msrp until supply is better.

In a perfect world I’d wait, but I need a car this weekend - just sold my current.

I mean what are we going to learn in 3 months about the 10spd auto that we don’t already know? Not interested in a CVT for 2017 or 18 and 2017 V6 4 doors are pretty much extinct.

Given my situation, that price seem fair?

Also, I’m a Costco Member and attempted to get price through their program but nearest participating dealer w 2.0T was 100miles away and couldn’t give me price over the phone.

Any guesses what the Costco price would be based on historical trends vs MSRP?

You will always do better negotiating yourself with targeted dealers at the very end of any month.

Since the 2.0 T have just been released 11 days ago discounts might be hard to come by. Sounds like you did pretty good since the invoice is 28,610. The current deals are still mostly to clear out the 2017s and I'm hoping the discounts will be better for the presidents day sales in feb.

I was offered an EX-L 2.0T for $30,174 (msrp $32,860) without any negotiation today, that includes destination charge. Will wait a few weeks and see how much they can move on this price once more dealers get more stock.

I'm tempted to wait until Honda offers 0.9% financing since it's worth another $2k over 60 months, but not sure how long that'll be.

I bought a 2.0 touring just a couple hours ago
    msrp $36,900
    selling price 32,700
    $80 processing fee
    $330 dmv fee
    ~$3100 tax (9%)

    Was that a good deal?

what changed from the 28th when you wrote they both were at "full msrp?"

given you seem to be at 4200 below msrp, i'd say that is quite a positive development!

I didn’t get deal at neither of the two dealers that offered msrp
I went through 16 dealers till I found the deal I got yesterday..!
Most dealers said msrp with no budging
some had 3,000+ mark ups on top of msrp (dealer installed options) even while the vehicle is in transit (ridiculous!!)

I’m in SoCal and I’m trying to lease an all black 18 Accord lx - the base model. Right now I’m at $2500 down/ $250 monthly. Residual is about $14800. Is this a good deal?
  • tonyg2016tonyg2016 Member Posts: 737
no, that is horrible. time is not right yet to lease 2018 accords. zero down and 250 perhaps but that is not likely until HFS terms get better
  • catoarscatoars Member Posts: 5

I checked costco pricing today for a touring 2.0, which was about $36.1k.  I know costco doesn't have the best pricing, but I still expected more than $500 off sticker.  Hopefully these high prices don't last too long as I'm ready to buy.

    I'm in Indianapolis and recieved price quotes of 35.7k, 34.7k, and 34.0k on a 2018 Touring 2.0T

Being a brand new model with limited inventory, I committed verbally to the 34.0k price as that seemed reasonable and I was told is about $200 over dealer invoice.

Do any of you have an estimate of what I should see in terms of Money Factor and residual on this car? MSRP is around 36.5k I believe.

Judging from other posts, maybe 56-58% residual for 12-15k miles a year? And would a .001 money factor be adviseable (no way I'm paying .002 if that truly is Honda's current rate - I'll just buy using another lender)

    Thanks for any input!

I don’t have the specific details on the selling price, fees, etc. yet but a dealer I’ve been working with quoted me $29,500 OTD for a 2018 exl. That’s a good deal, right?

What was price before tax and fees? Each state is different so hard to judge. Or is this the price before tax and fees?

Msrp is actually 30,845. Tax is 3%. As I mentioned, I don’t know what fees are.

if you want an answer about the deal, you need to provide specifics or else it's just a guess. at a 9% discount from msrp and your 3% tax rate, i get 28.9k. shoot for 29k at year end...GL

With that pricing, it's gotta be the 1.5. MSRP is just over $26K on those, so a healthy discount, then add back in the taxes and fees to get $25.5K OTD

What is the dealer fee? Is it advertising charge, is it extended warranty? Is it finance charge? what is it?

it may be a ripoff and sometimes avoidable (in most cases; FL has the highest)
consider it part of the base cost before taxes and dmv fees

if msrp is 30860, then base cost is 27771 - a very good price at this time

    Hello,
I am, able to get an 2018 EX-L 1.5T w/ parking sensors installed for 31K OOTD. The price quoted for parking sensors is 1.3K including installation.
    Sale Price: 28790

Do you think this is a good deal?
Also, if I want to upgrade to 2.0T (parking sensors installed) what price should I be asking based on this quote?

When negotiating I was focused on the OTD price. I wanted to get it below $30k and that's how they split the price out.
