Yes. That is not a good deal at all. I'm not sure it's a good deal for a touring, even..
Which of these figures is a bad deal- which of these should I be able to turn a better offer from?

too much; shoot for 3000 off msrp on that fully loaded model. end-of-year deal may be a better time although i bet supply is still limited on that model

offer 36k and see what they say

I'm curious what types of finance offers people are seeing? I've gotten a couple of decent price quotes on EX-L 1.5 models that are right around the invoice price, but the best financing I'm being offered is in the 4.99%-5.99% range irregardless of loan term. Is that the game the dealers are playing with the new model...offer decent pricing then not budge when it comes to financing?
  • jhawk774jhawk774 Member Posts: 2
OH, and on another note...i'm curious what people who have taken delivery of the 1.5T models think so far? It's a little frustrating that all the early reviews and drive reports are of the 2.0 Touring model with every available option, so of course they're going to almost unequivically give that car high marks.

HFS rates are 4.29 to 4.69 depending on term. dealer marking up the rate
btw, you should always secure your own financing (credit union) and try to get the dealer to match it. The financing has nothing to do with the sell price (unless there are incentives from HFS)
Sedan sales suck so it's just a matter of time before Honda has to subsidize these cars. Right now, the new model euphoria is all they need...

To me this is a good deal. Does this include the D&H? A base Sport MSRP 25780 invoice is 23588. Sound like you are getting a year end deal.

Can you name the dealership. I am searching for a similar deal in the Texas area.

Sure, I had two virtually identical to that, both in Houston. John Eagle and Community. I'm actually in Austin but dealers here weren't budging much till I brought this to them and got them to match.
I'm probably going to go ahead and pick up the car tomorrow at this price. I was able to get a good price for my trade in and also with the tax laws changing I can still write off sales tax for a car purchase this year which will save me $600 or so, making this a good enough deal for me.

I was quoted 27.9k b4 tax title fees for honda accord sport 2.0 and out the door is 31.6k...is this considered a good deal....sorry for lack of details...this is houston texas deal...can't seem to get them to budge lower
  • catoarscatoars Member Posts: 5
I wound up purchasing the Touring 2.0 in Austin at First Texas yesterday (grey ext, grey int). Pricing was as I listed previously (below), however I was able to get them up by $300 on my trade in, which was about $300 higher than I could get anywhere else, plus they included $250 worth of accessories for free. That plus the sales tax write off for still buying this calendar year before the tax laws change saves me another $500ish. Overall, quite comfortable with the deal, particularly how many dealers are asking MSRP and getting it.

    Sale Price:$33,497.00
    Destination:$875.00
    VIT Tax$89.78
    Doc Fee:$150.00
    Inspection,Registration, Misc$80.00

looks like a nice deal . @brian125 was telling me right after the new year accord pricing will start to edge close to invoice pricing and below in many states. one of the Honda dealer salesman in PA told me by spring time Honda will be discounting and pushing sales. I think that is when I'm going to but my 18 sport model

Was considering a Sport 2.0 this December in the Chicago area. Best offer was $27,423 including destination (MSRP $31,185). Decided to hold out for an EX-L 2.0. If you have a few volume dealers close to each other, you can get a good price.

I have not seen any either. They arrived at dealerships on oct 20 and maybe they are still stocking the lots. I hope to get a touring by the end of next month or sooner if the price is right

I've seen 1 on the road (looks gorgeous) but it has been a few months and I rarely see them. When I stopped by a Honda dealership, there were ~6-7 CRV's being prepped for delivery and only 1 Accord (plus some Civic's).....the sedan apocalypse is real. Camry's have little issues being sold because they do mass discounting (already $1750 in incentives plus dealer discounting) + fleet sales....the Accord is a great car to a market that has moved past sedans unfortunately.

I bought the car mentioned above, with grey exterior and interior. 36k out the door was the best price offered, with the next best price over 1k.

The Accord is not selling well right now and will not cause Honda has Standard Money Factor on leases and zero incentives in a DEAD market for sedans, Honda maybe feels they can hold firm like its their CRV. There is CRAZY 1.5 inventory right now.... also, I have seen several 18 Camry's on the road.

I'm considering either a CR V or an Accord this summer. I've always had sedans (or coupes)-- the thing about sedans-- they seem harder and harder for me to get out of. An aging population I imagine too feel the same. I sat in an accord in the showroom a few weeks back, and jeez, it seemed so low to the ground that getting out of it was a chore. Especially compared to the CR V, obviously. I just wish the CRV had a larger gas tank-- I'm used to going 500 miles on a full tank-- looks about 400 with the CRV. Am I nuts?

I've found it's easier to get out of a coupe, than a sedan.
