Hi, Seeking details on 2018 Acura MDX SH-AWD Tech. MF/RV/incentives for 36month/12Kmiles around Seattle, WA area. What's the best deal people are able to get here?

Just tried to get a breakdown on the Adj cap cost over the phone, salesman tried to confuse me. When I insisted, sales manager came on the line ( I have no doubt he was listening), asked to only give me the breakdown if I went to the dealership. When I said over the phone would be enough, he simply stated he no longer wishes to do business with me.

There is another dealer in North Orlando, if not, will scout Tampa and WP Beach areas. What state are you in ?

I did find similar deal on Honcker app (lease app to find you best deal around). In my area (NJ), I got $405 monthly payment 12k/36months and 3k drive out including taxes and fees, no down and security deposit. Not the best but seems a good deal.

You won't find a deal on a 2019, until the 2018 models are gone.

You can't get around the tax.

They are breaking out the destination fee? That is just a ruse. It's part of the MSRP, and should be part of any price they quote. In other words, your actual price is $53,138.11. And, the dealer discount is just $2000, once you take into account the $2950 incentive.

I don't see the $595 acquisition fee, however.

My 2016 lease is up soon so if you could provide me with a refresher course of the terms like cap cost reduction, money factor, residual etc. Live in Hawaii and was waiting for a 2019 6 passenger model but might be willing to take a 7 passenger if deals are good especially on the 2018.

You got RV of .57 on 36 month, 12K/Year lease. This is 1% higher than I see (56% for your lease term on SH-AWD base). I thought RV is fixed for all Acurra dealer. Did you negotiate it?

He said the $2950 was included in the discount and the rebate.

After getting these numbers I told him we'd be trading in our current Acura MDX that has 5 payments left. Acura forgives 3 payments, so the remaining 2 will be rolled into this loan...total of $1122 ($561/mo).

They quoted $566/mo. - This was for 36/10.
Since we had 15k miles left over, I asked him what the price would be with 7.5k miles....he said $551 (or close to it, I forget the exact number this morning).

We'll be heading down this morning, so I'll make sure and run the numbers with the actual paperwork to see where the difference is coming from.

Why add $30/mo to the new lease to get out of the old lease early? Why not wait two months and have all the remaining payments waived?

Ask them for the adjusted CAP costs for these payment quotes - we should be able to back into how they got there.

The adjusted CAP cost is not necessarily the same as the selling price. If you are not paying taxes and fees up front, then those are added to the selling price and becomes the CAP cost that the lease payment is calculated from.

I just got off of the phone with my sales guy

i have 5 payments left on my lease, they are making the 2 left and then acura forgives the other 3. There is about $800 of “accessories” I get free and he is saying the sales price to me for the car is the adjusted capitaled cost of $51,056.16 but in theory with the free stuff and payments that they are making for me ($520 x 2) from my trade in. It’s almost like $49,200

does any of this make sense?

I think that you did not negotiate a sale price.
Because the sale price is the manufacturing retail price..
Why is paying taxes on the incentives?
Compare prices on honkers or truecar.

The gross capitalied cost in the oaperwork i was oresented is $51,961.16 isn’t that the negotiated price of the car cost?

The adjusted CAP cost is not necessarily the same as the selling price. If you are not paying taxes and fees up front, then those are added to the selling price and becomes the CAP cost that the lease payment is calculated from.

I am only paying $645 out of pocket
