We recommend you roll the taxes and fees into the monthly payment - if the car is stolen or totaled, you would be out the up front money.

$528 is better than $550, for sure. Go back to the first dealer and see if they'll beat that. Rinse, then repeat. Eventually one dealer will drop out - the remaining dealer is likely to be giving you their best deal.

But, beware for fees - NJ will likely have a dealer fee of $400-600, whereas NY caps the dealer fee at $75

Morning! Have the numbers for Jan come out yet? Don't know if they would change from Dec, with leasing deals going until tomorrow and the 3rd. Heading to dealerships in a few hours.

Looking for MF/RV for FWD, 39m/10k, in GA. One dealer quoted me $41,425 (plus tax/fees) from MSRP of $50,675.

I get $384/m (w/out tax) with $0 down from Dec. numbers. Is that correct?

GA's new tax law goes into effect today (!!!) so we now only pay taxes on the sum of the lease payments. Is it better to pay those taxes upfront or roll them into payments? Do you pay interest on the monthly tax?

New programs don't start until Wednesday. We don't get the numbers ahead of time.

If taxes are due upfront, and you roll them in, then yes, finance charges will be applied to anything in the CAP cost.

3 years is a long time for the programs to change.

OH only charges sales tax against the sum of the payments for a lease, not the entire purchase price.

A previous post mentioned that 39 is better than 36 months. Is it that much better?

Salesman told me that some options (tow package, running boards) would raise residual value. More likely residual as it pertains to lease or actual residual value later on?

The 36 month MF and residuals are the same as 39 months, so, all else being equal, you'll have 3 extra months to spread out the depreciation.

They can't alter residuals.

Money factors can be marked up for extra profit, but we don't often see that from Infiniti dealers.

I live in Northern NJ. I was quoted $599 a month For 39 months @ 12K miles. Packages include premium and premium plus. Only money down is first payment. What info do i need to find out if this is a good deal? Thank you! I’ve never leased before so this is all new

If they've added in $1442 of inception costs, plus tax to get that CAP cost, then the selling price is less than the adjusted CAP, right?

They just haven't told you what that selling price is.

With that adjusted CAP, the calculated payment is correct.

$50,083 CAP
minus $1442 fees ($700 acq., $350 DMV, $399 dealer fee?)
minus sales tax ($1500?)
= selling price of $47,000 (estimated, more or less)

Ask them again for the selling price (or, "agreed value", in lease contract speak).
See if it's close to that. Ask for a breakdown of the rest of it (taxes and fees)

No info on that. Seems they would need a VIN to complete the contract by the end of business, today.

But, I don't really know.

It looks like it's exactly the same as January based on the offers posted on Infiniti's web site, but I wanted to confirm. It also looks like the current program will run through 4/2/2018.

Our information shows the program running from 2/1 through 2/28 only.

Infiniti almost always comes out with a new program, each month.

There could be incentives that are scheduled to run for the whole quarter, though. But, we wouldn't have that info.

Residual is based on MSRP - bottom line number of the factory window sticker.
