Based on the MSRP, MF and residual, the cap cost would have to be around $48,800 to get $568/mo.

So, the dealer needs to explain to your satisfaction what makes up the $2800 to get from the $46K selling price to the $48,000 cap cost.

Hi All,

I have a 2017 Infiniti QX60 loaded with everything except the Deluxe Tech package. MSRP was around $55k and i got a pretty good deal out of it I think ($489/mo with just first month + DMV at signing). Problem is, I am not thrilled with the car and would rather have a cheaper lease payment now. I know, I should have thought about that sooner, but I am a sucker for a good deal.

Does anyone have any experience with those lease trader sites like swapalease or leasetrader? I know the standard way to get out of a lease would be to trade it into another dealer. Problem is that I still would owe about 44k on the car and even the KBB on it is only $41k at the high end to trade it into a dealer. I really do not want to put any negative equity into another lease. Any suggestions? Or am I just stuck in this lease for the next couple years?

Swapalease works. Not sure what the fees are for the seller, but a $489/mo. payment might get you some interest.

Tax is paid upfront in NY. That hurts when you market it for assumption, because there is no portion of the lease payment that comes off, if it is transferred out of state. For instance, someone from PA that took over your lease, would have a 9% higher payment, because PA taxes the monthly payment (same for CT, MA, MI, KY, IN, etc, etc..

Maybe not a big deal, but it's not a positive. It basically makes your vehicle a little more expensive for any prospective swap partner.

I know that it has been posted many times that the 39 month lease is the best deal, but I typically like to keep my cars a little longer. What would be the MF/RV for a 48 month lease on a FWD model with 12k/15k miles per year?

Also, if I were to lease for 39 months, would the payment go down in months 40-48 if I wanted to keep the vehicle?

Your payment will be higher than for 39 months. If you lease for 39 months, there is no guarantee that Infiniti will extend your lease. If they do, the payment certainly won't go down.
