I’m trying to decipher an offer. Zip code is 33606. They haven’t provided the MF or RV, but I have requested. I asked for the incentives that are advertised which are the $2000 lease cash, $419/month and $3999 down. While the MSRP is higher on the particular vehicle the offer seems really odd. It includes my trade in which is owned free and clear yet they have estimated liens on it to ‘give’ me cash back. Below is based on 36/10000 but I requested 36/7500.

MSRP - $58528
Price - $49990
Trade in - $6900
Cash down - $4500
Monthly - $445

I’m happy to send the offer via email, but it seems nonsensical to me. This is not my wheelhouse though.

Feel free to post the offer here, after redacting any personal information (yours and dealers).

The $3999 down is not an "incentive" - it is cash from you. And, we recommend you skip it.

Thank you for the response. Totally understood on the $3999 down -- just outlining Lexus's current December to Remember deal for a GX 460 lease. Below is the redacted offer. Agreed on your analysis, I just couldn't get over the combined $11,400 from me (trade in and money down). That seemed way high.

Of course, the tax number given is for purchase, not lease (FL taxes the monthly payment)
The $795 acquisition fee isn't listed, either (as that is a purchase quote)

Assuming Premium/Base trim?

Adjusted CAP of about $49K to get to that payment.

With the erroneous lien payoff, and adjusting the numbers to take out non-applicable tax, etc, their quote is about right. Removing the lien payoff would reduce the payment by about $50/mo (or, reduce the upfront by $1700)

But, the biggest issue would be resolving the $2300 accessories + $800 dealer fee + $1700 lien payoff.

Without all the crap, and considering the actual sale price, the payment would be correct, with $ZERO due at signing, other than your $6900 trade-in. (I assign zero value to the accessories)

As you note, it's a terrible deal.

If you left your trade out of it, a good price with just first payment Due at Signing would be in the $550-$560/mo range.
