Hi. In CA at 92630 . Have been quoted the following- 2019 GX Premium. MSRP $58090.00 plus tax. My price $47,990.00 after applying the $4K rebate. 15K/year for 36 mo. Lease payments $654.00 per month including tax. Rate .00180. Residual 60%. Do these number make sense? Residual seems high. Do you think I can push to get a better deal? Thank you.

Residual is always calculated against MSRP; how much down you give the dealer doesn't affect that number

I’m sorry.  I meant to ask what should the percentage residual be for 36/15?  57%?  They quotaed me 60%.  Am I just totally confused?  Also, do you think my proposed deal is a good deal?  Thank you.

Yes, 57% for 36/15

60% for 36/10; confirm with the dealer what mileage allowance they are using.

Since it's an average lease program, you've got an average deal.

Dealers can markup the rate for increased revenue. Your job is to refuse any money factor markups.

The calculations are correct. It looks like a good deal.

I would pay non-taxable items upfront, rather than rolling them in. Once you roll them into the lease, they are taxed.

MSDs actually cost the dealer money.. Not a lot, but a little. (their fee for writing the lease is less from LFS, if they accept MSDs)

But, it can save you a lot.
