    I don't think you can "push" for anything that wasn't agreed to at the time.

    First, I'd contact Mazda Credit and ask about your account, and if you should expect any further charges.
    If it's closed and no charges, then you can forget about it.

    Hopefully, the vehicle was worth more than the payoff, and the dealer took it in trade. That would mean nothing was rolled into your deal. If the dealer had to make the final four payments, then that would obviously mean they had to sell you the new car for more than they would have otherwise. Either way, you can't do anything about that now, but it would be nice to know which way it went.

    Is your new lease with Mazda Credit, as well?

    Can I get MF, residual and incentives on awd grand touring 36/15k & 36/12k, zip is 94566 (Northern Ca).

    BTW- I had a 2015 CX-5 AWD GT through Chase finance. My lease expired last month but never missed a payment (autopay) and they repo'd it while I was on a business trip. I didn't know they could do that, since i never missed a payment and was in process for shopping for a new Cx-5 to trade in my old one and now it is with repo place.

    It is my understanding that my only option is to buy back the car at the payoff amount. Curious, do you think this would affect my credit with chase, despite never being late? So frustrated. thanks, JD.

    Thanks Michael. Can you also provide the 36/12 figures? Bummer no lease or loyalty incentives.

    I was paying month to month for past 3 months after the extended lease term expired. I never missed a payment, but technically I was past my lease maturity date.
    Not sure if Chase finance or Mazda can report this to credit agencies, i can't get a straight response from anyone.

    Interesting- I went to Mazda's website and they are promoting $750 Mazda Loyalty Reward toward a new 2017, 2018 or 2019 Mazda. I don't know if this is just a marketing scam or not? Current Mazda Owners can get a Loyalty Reward toward the purchase or lease of a new Mazda:

    Reason I ask, is someone posted their deal a week ago for same model and the residual was 54% for 36/15 and 56% for 36/12k and I'm only 8 miles away (different zip code).

    $360 of that is definitely a consumer rebate, that is taxed. Not sure about the other $60.

    Hi,


    I recently got a leasing offer for a 2018 CX-5 Touring, without preferred package.
    The MSRP I believe is $27,510. Dealer offered $26,520 Sell price, plus Registration $399 and Doc Fee $399. NJ sales tax is at 6.625% (NJ taxes the sum of the payments less finance charges, which means they tax the vehicle's depreciation over the period of the lease).

    I did my calculation, but am not sure which one is right. I hope I could get some help here.

    My first calculation is: Cap cost of $27,320 (=sell price $26,520 + 800 fees (DMV and Doc fee)), and monthly payment of $334 (27,320 -27320*0.56)/36 + (27320 + 27320*0.56)*0.00001(MF), plus monthly tax payment of $21=334*0.0625, which gives a total monthly payment of $355 including tax.

    My second calculation is: monthly payment would be (26520+800+26520*0.44*0.06625(tax))*0.44/36 + (28093+28093*0.56)*0.00001(MF) = $344 (including tax)

    Which one do you think is about right or neither? lol. What is the correct monthly payment including tax I should be looking for?

    BTW, anyone knows if Dealer's offer: $26,520 Sell price, plus Registration $399 and Doc Fee $399 is a good deal. Zip code 08876
